Welcome to the Pune Chapter of IEEE Technology & Engineering Management Society. This chapter was formed in 2021 and continues to serve the members and industry and student community at large. 🌟 Successful JCTS Meeting on 20th July 2024! 🌟 We are thrilled to share the highlights of the recent Joint Chapter of TEMS and Systems Council (JCTS) meeting held on 20th July 2024 at the Bajaj Conference Hall, MCCI Trade Tower, SB Road, Pune. 🤝 Attendance and Engagement: The meeting saw an impressive turnout over the registrations. Continuous follow-ups via email, phone calls, and WhatsApp ensured the presence and active participation. 👥 Key Participants: Chair: Prashant Joshi Vice Chair: Dr. Neha Sharma Secretary: Anshul Saxena, PhD Treasurer: Dhiraj Mani Chaurasia 🎤 Meeting Highlights: Introduction: Participants introduced themselves, sharing their backgrounds and roles. Presentation by Dr. Neha Sharma: An insightful presentation on the Campus to Corporate (C2C) initiative. Overview of JCTS by Chair Prashant Joshi: A brief introduction to JCTS’s mission and ongoing projects. C2C Initiative Plan by Dhiraj Chaurasia: Detailed plan for the C2C initiatives. Key Conferences and Initiatives by Anshul Saxena: Information on upcoming conferences and initiatives. 💬 Feedback and Suggestions: Participants suggested more events featuring industry professionals to share their knowledge and experience. The C2C initiative received positive feedback, with students, including fresh graduates, sharing their experiences and the value of such meetings. 🍽️ Networking Dinner: Post-meeting, attendees had the opportunity to network and engage in deeper discussions over dinner, fostering stronger connections and collaborative opportunities. S4DS (Society for Data Science) and JCTS (Joint Chapter of IEEE TEMS and Systems Council) jointly organized Webinar on AI in Education: Promises and Perils on 13 June 2024 at 7.30pm by Dr. Pranjal Muley. Dr Muley had fantastically woven and well narrated the story/insights of AI in Education. AI in education offers promising advancements, enhancing personalized learning, automating administrative tasks, and providing real-time feedback. AI-powered tools can tailor educational experiences to individual student needs, making learning more efficient and engaging. Additionally, AI can assist teachers by grading assignments and managing classroom activities, allowing more focus on student interaction. However, there are significant perils, including privacy concerns, potential biases in AI algorithms, and the digital divide that may exacerbate inequalities. Over-reliance on AI might undermine critical thinking and human interaction, essential components of education. Balancing AI's benefits with ethical considerations and inclusivity is crucial for its effective integration into education. However, a significant discrepancy exists in the global availability, quality, and general level of healthcare services between countries. A variety of healthcare technologies are being pioneered in developed environments, but cannot merely be transplanted and immediately be successfully implemented in developing nations.
