It was a pleasure to attend the ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) 19th International Manufacturing Science and Engineering Conference (MSEC 2024) and 52nd SME North American Manufacturing Research Conference (NAMRC 52) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville! I had the opportunity to showcase my research at the MSEC Doctoral Symposium, participate in a poster presentation, and deliver a paper presentation. My thanks to Dr. Tony Schmitz for the excellent conference organization and especially for arranging the insightful industry visit to the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility, Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Witnessing cutting-edge research in action was a truly enriching experience. I am grateful to my Ph.D. advisor, Prof. Kaushal A Desai, for his support, guidance, and encouragement throughout my academic journey. I also want to thank my institute, Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, for providing the financial support that allowed me to attend this incredible conference. I would like to acknowledge the project funding support from iHub-Drishti and the valuable collaboration of industry partner Kansara Bearings Ltd. TISC Training Participant, IIT Jodhpur I had the privilege of participating in the Technology Innovation and Start-up Centre (TISC) training program at IIT Jodhpur, Rajasthan. During this immersive experience, I honed my skills in innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology commercialization through interactive workshops, mentorship sessions, and industry engagements. The program equipped me with strategies for idea generation, prototype development, market analysis, and validating business models. Collaborating with peers and industry experts was invaluable as we refined our business ideas and learned effective pitching techniques. This experience provided deep insights into the startup ecosystem and practical knowledge essential for launching successful ventures. I recently embarked on this enriching journey to IIT Jodhpur as part of the National Annual Incubation Program (NAIP) by MIT World Peace University, which further broadened my understanding of design thinking, organizational dynamics, competition strategies, and more through engaging sessions. Throughout the program, we engaged in thought-provoking sessions, including intense case studies focused on entrepreneurial challenges. Working in groups, we tackled real-world problems, culminating in a memorable instance where our team clinched the first prize, showcasing our collective creativity and problem-solving abilities. I had the opportunity to visit Kansara Bearings Ltd, and it was an eye-opening experience into the world of precision engineering and innovation. Kansara Bearings is renowned for its super-specialist approach and professional management in manufacturing high-precision rollers for bearings. During the visit, I was impressed by the company's commitment to quality and innovation. The tour provided a firsthand glimpse into their advanced manufacturing processes and cutting-edge technology. It was fascinating to see how they integrate state-of-the-art machinery with skilled craftsmanship to produce world-class products. Additionally, our industry visit to Kansara Bearings Ltd provided valuable insights into cutting-edge industrial practices and innovation in high-precision manufacturing. Overall, the TISC training at IIT Jodhpur was a transformative experience that enhanced my skills, expanded my network, and deepened my understanding of the startup landscape.

🌟 Reflecting on an Incredible Learning Journey at IIT JODHPUR with MIT World Peace University🌟 Last week, I had the privilege of embarking on an enriching journey to IIT Jodhpur, courtesy of MITWPU, as part of the National Annual Incubation Program (NAIP). The experience was nothing short of transformative as we delved deep into various aspects of design thinking, organizational dynamics, competition, strategy, and more through a series of engaging sessions. Over the course of our visit, we had the opportunity to participate in 12 thought-provoking sessions, each meticulously designed to broaden our horizons and sharpen our skills. One of the highlights was the intense case study sessions focusing on entrepreneurial aspects. Working in groups of ten, we tackled real-world challenges and, in one memorable instance, emerged victorious, clinching the first prize. It was a testament to our collective efforts, creativity, and problem-solving acumen. Beyond the confines of the classroom, we were treated to a mesmerizing city tour of Jodhpur, immersing ourselves in its rich cultural heritage. Exploring the iconic Mehrangarh Fort and other historical landmarks was an experience I'll cherish forever, offering a glimpse into the vibrant tapestry of India's history and heritage. Additionally, our visit included an insightful exploration of the Kansara Bearings Ltd —an esteemed industry renowned for its super-specialist and professionally managed approach. Committed to manufacturing high-precision, world-class rollers for bearings, the Kansara Group provided us with a firsthand glimpse into cutting-edge industrial practices and innovation. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to MIT World Peace University for providing us with this invaluable opportunity to visit IIT Jodhpur—a dream destination for many aspiring minds.
