West Bengal Lights Up Ahead of Kali Pujo & Diwali with 72 Cracker Fairs! 🎇 This festive season, 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥 is all set to host 𝟕𝟐 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬 — a significant rise from the 𝟓𝟐 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬 held last year! 💥 Known as 𝐁𝐚𝐳𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐚𝐫, these fairs will offer a wide range of firecrackers, including eco-friendly green crackers. The state's firecracker industry, valued at around ₹𝟑𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐞, provides livelihoods to over 1.5 lakh people, with key hubs in South & North 24 Parganas, Purba Medinipur, Malda, Murshidabad, and Uttar Bangla. In support of a sustainable future, the Government of West Bengal has promoted the production of green firecrackers, with manufacturers receiving training from CSIR-NEERI.
