Through this program, they gained meaningful insights into OELP’s innovative and effective classroom methodologies. As part of their experience, they visited demonstration schools where OELP’s impactful work is making a real difference—a truly inspiring opportunity to see these pioneering practices in action! We’re deeply grateful to Wipro Foundation and Organisation For Early Literacy Promotion (OELP) for this enriching experience. We are thrilled to announce the inauguration of our one-of-a-kind ‘UDAAN Anganwadi’ at Village Pachaytan, officiated by DM of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Mr. Manish Kumar Verma! Since December 2022, LECIN’s dedicated team has been working closely with the children, Anganwadi workers, and the community of Village Panchayat. This year in March 2024, we collaborated with Social Design Collaborative, and we took a significant step forward by constructing this anganwadi from the ground up. Udaan Anganwadi is co-located within the Pachaytan Primary School. The Udaan Anganwadi responds to India’s National Education Policy by co-locating anganwadis within government primary schools. The design process brought together a diverse range of stakeholders, including government officials, teachers, and students. Through a series of design discussions and activities, the children actively participated in creating a space that meets their needs. The Anganwadi’s design aligns with the Early Childhood Education (ECE) curriculum by the UP Government, ensuring it caters to the diverse requirements of children. A heartfelt thank you to both teams (LECIN & SDC) for making this vision a reality, and to ICDS, the district administration of Gautam Buddha Nagar for their unwavering support! Last week, our Founder, Ms. Nupur Bhardwaj, had the honor of being a Guest Speaker at the SHE LEADS event, organized by the Department of MBA at IIMT Group of Colleges - College of Engineering. The event focused on empowering women as agents of change in society. Nupur shared her inspiring journey as a social entrepreneur and her 9-year experience in fundraising. 🎉 Daan Utsav - Day 1, 2 & 3 at LECIN! 🎉 The past three days have been full of excitement and community spirit as we kicked off Daan Utsav at LECIN. Here’s what we’ve been up to: 🌿 Day 1: We planted trees and saplings to create a Nutrition Garden (POSHAN VATIKA) at one of our Anganwadis, with support from the Green Brigade, CVS College’s environmental society. 🍽 Day 2: A delicious homemade, nutritious meal along with sweets was served, and the children loved every bit of it! 🎂 Day 3: Our amazing volunteer baker, Rewati Nair founder of Bikku Bakes, sent healthy homemade chocolate cakes made with whole wheat flour and jaggery.
