Highlighting the Patient Perspective on Drug Dosage I had the privilege of presenting as a patient representative at the American Statistical Association Biopharmaceutical Section’s Virtual Discussion on Tolerability Endpoint Considerations in Oncology Clinical Trials, hosted by LUNGevity Foundation and the FDA As a patient from a low- and middle-income country (LMIC), I shared the struggles we face with medication dosages. The side effects we endure should not be a matter of experimentation, especially for drugs already in use. We deserve better. It's time for dosage optimization to be based on solid evidence and to include patient-reported outcomes from the start of clinical trials. I look forward to such opportunities where we patients are given a platform to share our stories too.
