Last week, we welcomed a group of hotel owners, lighting and interior designers, and hotel operators at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Singapore for an #OpenDoors event. They were able to learn about Lutron’s involvement with the property and experience the myRoom guest room system in person, along with Palladiom keypads and motorized drapery. Thanks to all who joined us—we look forward to seeing you at future hospitality events.

At the intersection of innovation and technology, the ZENE Entertainment Space redefines lighting and shadow, creating a sensory experience for visitors. A HomeWorks system plays a crucial role in simulating natural elements, bringing a dynamic flow to the light that adds vitality to the space. By integrating lighting control with external natural information such as sunlight, temperature, and weather changes, the control system ensures a harmonious blend of the internal lighting with the outside world. At Shenzhen restaurant Ensue, Chris Shao Studio LLC's design allure lies in both the story and the tension it creates. Lighting plays an irreplaceable role in creating ambiance, with HomeWorks lighting controls shaping the atmosphere. In designing Ensue, Shao also personified design intentions based on his experiences in China— engaging deeply with artisans and manufacturers in Guangzhou.

The award-winning Artifact Bar, located beneath Hong Kong's BaseHall Central, features an ethereal architectural design inspired by the rhythmic patterns of underground cisterns. The design aimed to minimize carbon footprints by focusing on local production, assembly, and sourcing for 90% of lighting fixtures— and an Athena system optimizes energy efficiency through dimming and timed lighting schedules for off-peak hours. The architectural essence of 8X8 Design Studio Co.'s “Project Kubo” house is rooted in the bahay kubo, a type of stilt house indigenous to the Philippines. The home's HomeWorks system allowed lighting designers to create "Constellations Showcase" and "Stealth Mode" scenes. The first features a group of small light fixtures with a ceiling layout like stars in the night sky, illuminated to recreate constellations like Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Pictor. In "Stealth Mode," all lights in the house are dimmed to the lowest possible setting.
