As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility roadmap, we undertook School Transformation project since June 2024 by supporting in Digital Classroom creation, establishing the stem lab and facilitating school hygiene and sanitation. While India celebrated the “#JoyofGiving” week during 2nd – 8th October, a #philanthropic festival by engaging people from different strata of society, our #CSR Champions and Volunteers spent time at the school by sharing and giving away the knowledge and experiences they have in areas like Health & Hygiene, Road Safety and insights into educational & career opportunities students can aim for. When the young minds are fed with an apt information at an impressionable age, it gets ingrained effectively. Kudos to our volunteers for making the sessions interesting with videos, examples to create a joyful learning experience. We truly appreciate our volunteers who are always willing to spend their free time on this cause. It was reassuring to witness that the sessions were well-received by students with high energy and engagement. For our CSR volunteers, being back at the school, interacting with students & contributing to their growth, brought a sense of nostalgia and a deeper connection to their own roots. Engineer’s Day honors the contribution of engineers and celebrates them. Our Engineers put efforts, innovation, and have been dedicatedly working for creating sustainable solutions to make world sustainable place. We are so proud of them!   To celebrate the day, our Engagement Team again brought out an innovative and interesting theme which required the teams to recreate/rearrange the process of different departments. Living up to the indomitable engineering spirit, our creative engineers put on the collective thinking hat and cracked the code! We witnessed the enthusiasm of our engineers towards their focus on solutions and how acquainted they are with our business processes. Overall it looked like a fun event but it underlined that solution centric approach and can do attitude of the participating teams. MAN India hosted our colleagues from TRATON GROUP, TRATON Group R&D, which includes colleagues from #SCANIA #MAN #NAVISTAR and #VWCO for “Group in Focus” Workshop for Cabin & Chassis domain.   What unfolded over three days was great mix of technical insights, know how exchange, understanding cultural nuances and ways of working of global teams. It was our pleasure to give our colleagues insights into MAN India’s journey and growth trajectory over the years focused on accountability, inclusion, technology excellence and people development. Designed to equip young talents for future by giving insights into diverse international settings, cross brand collaborations with other group companies, tailored mentoring program by senior leadership team and inspiring conversations with Executive board members, Global Trainee is highly revered program in MAN | TRATON world. Since last year, MAN India has got opportunity to participate in the Global Trainee program. Our first Global Trainee Anagha Shinde will be successfully concluding the program this year in November 2024 and our this year’s trainee Sagar Dhyani and Abhijeet D. have just started orientation into the program at the beginning of this week at Munich, Germany. The journey these bright young talent drives through lets them to get varied experiences of different domains, right from production to sales to technical areas to leadership values. Environmental sustainability is a key topic worldwide to conserve natural resources and protect ecosystems to support health and well being, now and into the future. We embarked on a journey in collaboration with Anandvan Foundation last August to create Urban Forest in Pune out of place occupied by a garbage dump. The recap of the journey of transformation from barren land to lush green trees is satisfying to witness and we thank ANANDVAN team as well as our employee volunteers who have been dedicatedly spending time on ground once a month. We started with our plantation project and recently undertook the project to create a pond at ANANDVAN 4. The pond is designed to recharge the groundwater which in turn will help maintain the ecosystem and harvest rainwater. MAN India cherishes this project and devote this to MOTHER NATURE! MAN strongly believes that Industry can contribute greatly for creating strong technical capabilities by collaborating with Colleges/Universities. We at MAN India have created our Industry Academia roadmap to guide the brilliant talent accessible in these universities and colleges by way of technical mentoring. Under this connect framework, our senior team visited @MKSSS's Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Pune, for demonstration of their project utilizing Virtual reality (VR) and Augmented reality (AR). A live demonstration of their "VR Fire Drill Framework," a project that combines cutting-edge technology with useful safety instruction, was the session's high point. It was highly impressive to see how students have mastered these advanced tools and applying it in innovative ways for real world problem statements. Our colleagues Abhijit Chaudhari & Abhishek Kshatriya were amazed with the demonstration and competencies these students bring in. Commitment with which the colleges/universities are working to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application is truly appreciated. Being a land of diversity, India is full of occasions & festivals! We celebrate our Independence Day every year with the same emotions of passion & pride for the country in our hearts.
