About us
The Manmade and Technical Textiles Export Promotion Council (MATEXIL) Formerly SRTEPC, established in 1954, is one of the oldest Export Promotion Councils in India. The name of the Council have now been changed from SRTEPC to MATEXIL. The products covered under the purview of the Council are Man-made Fibres Textiles (MMF), Yarn, Fabrics, Made-ups (including Home Textiles) and Technical Textiles. The Council has about 3,500 exporters as Members of the Council.

To promote Bharat Tex 2025, MATEXIL organized visit of a delegation to Turkey led by Shri Rohit Kansal, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles. The delegation included Shri Bhadresh Dodhia, Chairman, MATEXIL & Co-Chairman, Bharat Tex 2025, Shri Sunil Patwari, Chairman, TEXPROCIL and Mr. K.Sakthivel, Vice Chairman, PDEXCIL. With the guidance of Consul General of India in Istanbul Mr. Mijito Vinito various meetings were organized with Turkish Associations and Trade Bodies, namely the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, TGSD, TIM, ITKIB, MUSIAD, and TETSIAD. One-on-one meetings were conducted with Mr. Yilmaz, Chairman of KOTON; Livyo Zakuto, Chairman of DICLE TEXTILES; Mr. Atalay, CEO of DANTEX TEXTILES; Mr. Ebrahim Inel from Vakko; and Mr. Cemsl Beyazit from the Istanbul Fashion Academy to inform about Bharat Tex 2025. Shri Rohit Kansal talked about the Government’s supports for the textiles and clothing sector in India and discussed potential collaboration between Turkey and India. Shri Bhadresh Dodhia made a presentation highlighting the magnitude of Bharat Tex 2025 and complementary facilities for Foreign Buyers to visit the event. Mr. Umit from Gherzi presented on "Promoting International Cooperation and Trade in T&C between India and Turkey".
