The British Deputy High Commission, Kolkata, in collaboration with Media Skills Lab, News Sense and NGO ASHA, is organizing a day-long training program on 1st March 2025 at Park Prime Hotel, Kolkata, to strengthen the capacity of grassroots journalists in reporting human trafficking cases. The workshop will cover ethical and responsible reporting, legal and human rights aspects, engagement with investigative agencies, and the privacy and welfare of victims. It will also focus on data collection and verification, investigative journalism techniques, countering misinformation, and the role of Solutions Journalism. Additionally, the session will explore collaboration between media and NGOs while maintaining editorial independence and integrity.
