99% of the time our engineering team works quietly out of our IIT Madras Research Park (IITMRP) office. Customer conversations are limited to Shashwath, Sharan, Garima and Nikhil. Additionally, Umamaheswaran and his team speak to external collaborators. Our young engineers are silo-ed out — they get to focus on their work. This is a good thing, 99% of the time. This time at Semicon India, one of our secondary goals was to enable our engineers to do the talking, experience the moment when a stranger learns about our product, answer questions they may have, receive feedback about engineering decisions they’ve taken, and so on. So, Ismail and Mouna were added to the exhibition booth team, and we’re glad to say, they did great! We’re happy to share that the development of our second chip Vision SoC is now DLI supported. A few points: This chip is meant for use cases like CCTV, dashcams, video recorders, smart TVs, auto ADAS, and so on. We expect to go to tape out early/mid-2025, so now would be a great time for OEMs to sync their 2026 product plans with ours.
