I’m incredibly honored to have represented my country as one of only 10 delegates selected from over 10,000 applicants after a rigorous selection procedure for the International Space Camp 2024, held at the prestigious Gagarin State Scientific Research and Testing Cosmonaut Training Center in Moscow, Russia. This renowned facility, responsible for training cosmonauts, including those for India’s Gaganyaan mission, provided an unforgettable experience. As part of this incredible journey, I was invited to the Rashtrapati Bhavan before departing for Moscow, which was a humbling honor in itself. Highlights of the camp included meeting cosmonaut Sergey Zalyotin, boarding a mockup of the ISS, examining real asteroids, and touring the Museum of Cosmonautics, where Russia’s entire space history is meticulously recorded! Each experience brought me closer to the childhood dream I’ve held ever since I can remember. A heartfelt thank you to Roscosmos and MOVSTA for making this dream a reality. During our International Space Camp 2024 at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center (GCTC), our students had the rare opportunity to meet Sergei Viktorovich Zalyotin, the renowned Cosmonaut Pilot. This once-in-a-lifetime experience allowed our future space leaders to deepen their understanding of the challenges and triumphs of space travel.
