Avanti Fellows runs India’s largest free test-prep programs focused on helping students in government schools qualify for top-tier STEM colleges. Thirty percent of Avanti students qualify for the Joint Entrance Exam (Main) compared to the national average of 15%—a first step toward a lifechanging career.  Congratulations to Akshay Saxena, founder and co-CEO of Avanti Fellows, on being named Social Entrepreneur of the Year at the World Economic Forum! This honor celebrates Avanti Fellows' groundbreaking work in expanding educational access and equity. 

LiftEd supports the Government of India’s NIPUN Bharat Mission, working to unlock the potential of 4 million children by equipping them with foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) skills.   Through an innovative blended finance model, bringing together private, public, and commercial funds, LiftEd has mobilized $20 million over five years to amplify social impact investments. The Skill Impact Bond is transforming job opportunities for young Indians. As India’s first development impact bond focused on skill-building, it is set to empower 50,000 youth with the skills they need to succeed in the workforce over the next four years.    By prioritizing job placement and retention, the initiative strengthens collaboration between the private sector and education systems, enhancing India’s technical and vocational training ecosystem. To boost learning outcomes in Madhya Pradesh, CM RISE Schools are putting student engagement at the center of their strategy. Comprehensive training equips teachers to create a classroom environment that keeps students engaged – emotionally, socially, and cognitively – leading to higher attendance, lower dropout rates, and better academic performance.   This innovative approach was recently recognized by T4 Education which honored Vinoba Bhave CM RISE School in Ratlam with the World’s Best School Award in the category of Innovation in the Education System for 2024.   With support from our partner Peepul, this ambitious project aims to establish 10,000 model government schools by 2030.
