The Telegram, preserved at Dare House, serves as a reminder of how Parry, part of the Murugappa Group, was instrumental in infrastructure development in the city. Following Parry, many other British companies moved to Parry's Corner. The Madras Chamber of Commerce was eventually established. Raga Saga, a musical talent hunt for the Murugappa Group Employees, is a key part of our Group-wide social wellness programmes, part of the award-winning Fitness, Health and Happiness initiative. Music, particularly vocal singing enjoys wide appeal among our employees. The Raga Saga Contest taps into this interest by providing a platform to showcase their singing talent.   A cornerstone of this contest is that we offer exclusive mentoring to participants by musical experts, enabling them to become better performers. The first edition in 2022 was a fully virtual event where 325 participants took part. The 2023 edition saw 400 employees from across the country send in their entries for the preliminary round. Raga Saga 2024 is underway and this time it's bigger and better. With audition booths at select locations in Chennai, a brand-new rolling trophy and a grand finale at an external venue, this year's Raga Saga is sure to be exciting! It’s been a busy few months for our sports vertical at the A.M.M. Foundation. On the back of encouraging debuts at both the Olympics and Paralympics thanks to our ongoing partnerships with OGQ and the GoSports Foundation, the focus shifted to Football over the past week. For the second year running, as part of our collaboration with Borussia Dortmund (BVB), our coaches from the Murugappa Youth Football Academy (MYFA) - S. Vijayakumar, P. Karthik, M. Manivannan and R.V. Navamurthy, spent quality time in Germany working with the BVB establishment. 🖤 💛 Apart from training sessions, knowledge sharing, technical workshops, taking in a game at the iconic Signal Iduna Park stadium etc, one of the biggest highlights was getting a chance to learn from the legend that is #JurgenKlopp ✨ Another successful visit, and with the partnership going from strength to strength, it only further enhances our vision of using the beautiful game as a vehicle for social change.
