From the beginning, I’ve noticed how some platforms pressure students to pay for fake certificates, internships, and even offer letters—claiming these would boost resumes. It’s heartbreaking to see many of my friends, juniors, and classmates fall into this trap, wasting their time and hard-earned money on these so-called "internships" that add zero real value. But I made a different choice. I stayed aware and focused on genuine learning opportunities, real certifications, and building meaningful skills. I’ve also taken it upon myself to make my friends and juniors aware of these scams. Now, it’s your turn to be cautious and spread this awareness further! Recently, I’ve noticed a rise in LinkedIn posts showcasing certificates from companies like Encryptix, Bharat Intern, CodSoft, Oasis Infobyte, InternPe, Verzeo, Prodigy InfoTech, CodeAlpha, and similar platforms. Many of these claim to offer MSME-certified internships, but after some research, it became evident—most of these are scams. Here’s how these scams work: 🛑 They claim MSME certification and offer fake internships. 🛑 They ask for money for offer letters, certificates, or recommendations. 🛑 They instruct students to post about their "internship" on LinkedIn to promote their scam. A simple rule to remember: If any internship asks for money, it's not legitimate. Real internships never charge you! Why Avoid These Scams? • You waste your money and time. • These "certificates" add no real value to your resume or career. • They distract you from focusing on building real skills. What You Should Do Instead: ✅ Focus on skill development through trusted platforms (many are free). ✅ Look for internships via college placement cells, reliable portals, or personal networks. ✅ Create a portfolio with genuine projects and accomplishments. ✅ Participate in hackathons, coding contests, and open-source projects. ✅ Connect with industry professionals on LinkedIn to grow your network.
