If all ice on Earth melted, sea levels would rise by over70 meters, submerging coastal cities. Extreme weather, habitat loss, and disrupted ecosystems would follow, displacing millions and drastically altering global climates, making some regions uninhabitable. #CLIMATECHANGE #ice #melt #oceanrise #waterlevel #water #sea #ecosystem #geo #geospatial #geoid #nakshatech

Spatial analysis is the process of studying and interpreting the relationships between different locations, patterns, and trends on a map. It helps us understand how things like population, land use, weather, or even traffic flow are distributed across an area. For example, businesses use spatial analysis to find the best locations for new stores based on customer density, while urban planners use it to design better cities. It involves using maps, satellite images, and data to make informed decisions, making it useful in fields like geography, environmental science, and urban planning. #spatialanalysis #mapping #geography #dataanalysis #urbanplanning #gis #locationdata #environmentalstudies #satelliteimagery #smartcities
Image resolution in reality. #gis #mapping #geospatial #map #realitycapture #resolution #digital #nakshatech
Spatial resolution in Reality (Capture/Mapping/Modeling). Level of detail captured in a digital representation of a real-world scene. Spatial resolution refers often to: - to the size of one pixel on the ground for imagery - to the number of points (observations) per sq meter for point clouds It indicates for you the level of detail the image can display. How it is measured? Commonly expressed as Ground Sample Distance (GSD). For example, a 2.5 cm per pixel resolution allows for the discernment of smaller objects, while a 10 cm per pixel resolution may only capture larger features. Key factors influencing resolution: - Camera sensor quality & resolution - Flight altitude or distance from the subject to sensor (affecting GSD) - Lens quality, focal length and focus - Blur compensation / Exposure sharpness For high fidelity 3D reconstruction - spatial resolution depends also on sufficient overlap between images. To ensure the entire object is reconstructed with confidence and completeness. #realitycapture #realitymapping #3dmodeling P.S. Do you agree? Have you found value? Your engagement means a lot 🤗

One of the questions that sparked curiosity about civil engineering was: How are structures built underwater? The answer lies in an ingenious solution called cofferdams. These temporary enclosures hold back water, creating a dry workspace so engineers can lay solid foundations in places that seem impossible to build. Curious to see how it works? Check out this video! #civilengeneering #construction #dam #waterstorage #cofferdams #BIM #mapping #gis #geospatial #nakshatech
