Recently our Founder Yash Mevada visited the BITS Design School Mumbai for an engaging session on 3D Printing & Footwear with the young guns as part of their Design Discovery Club. They were split into teams & were mandated to come up with a Concept over a period of 4 days. We at NOMOQ handed over a brief to them, Industrial use cases - civil engineers, contractors, laborers, factory workers.  Most of the industrial boots that are available in the market today are an after thought, what can be done to make it better for them. Needless to say, the response & the energy was inspiring. The students demonstrated a high level of thinking, many of them went to construction sites & conducted surveys first-hand. They showcased concept boards which delved into materials, construction & assembly. Some even thought about the after-use, which is a refreshing change in the newer generations of designers. Towards the end, they were treated to a quick live-3D-Printing session with Yash, where he explained how to 3D Print Footwear using desktop FDM 3D Printers.
