An early update For Odoo 19 => Using python class name corresponding to odoo model 🚀 The purpose is to remove the attribute _name from model classes, and derive the model name from its class name. This will lead to more consistent class naming, and will ease the process of making Odoo code more Pythonic. #Odoo18: Point of sale is now better than ever! - AvaTax is fully integrated into PoS. - Opening and closing counts of the cash register are now always logged in the PoS Session record - Creating and editing products is now possible directly from the Point of Sale application. - The customer display can now be used on any remote device without needing an IoT box. -Payment methods are now editable before printing the receipt. -Fully redesigned the Point of Sale front end with a focus on simplicity and user experience. -Customers can now pay using their bank application. -Define frequently used internal notes (e.g., "No dressing" or "Emergency") to be added to orders with the click of a button. -Quickly merge tables to centralize orders, e.g. for big groups of people.
