IppoPay has partnered with Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd to offer UPI QR codes to merchants, enabling them to accept payments in Tier 2 and Tier 3 rural areas. I recall first hearing about TMB during my school days. There is a cooperative bank in my village, Thamaraikulam, which we all use frequently, and it’s conveniently located next to my house. TMB was the first bank to open a branch in Uchipuli (4 km from our village). This made it easier for people in all the villages in the South to access banking services. When I was a kid and saw such a large bank for the first time, I didn't have the confidence to enter it. We are thrilled to collaborate with TMB. Both parties share a strong alignment in vision and a sharp focus on South India. TMB’s commitment to providing banking solutions, combined with IppoPay’s expertise in digital transaction solutions, will make this partnership mutually beneficial. Tamil Nadu alone has over 1 crore MSMEs, with more than 75% located in Tier 2 cities and rural areas.
