I am putting my personal machine to some use. "My computer is the new data center" came true 😀 . We've built a RAG pipeline, which now enables us to query for profiles against a job description. Generated fake data, created embeddings, and stored them in a self-hosted VectorDB. Our journey from experimenting with models like Phi2 to moving to Llama3.1 8 B. While things are still abstract to us, but it has been a fun experience. We've also tried to work with prompt engineering and implemented the application. Kept the self-hosted LLM models swappable to observe the correctness. While there's still much to do, we've gained valuable insights trying to build our mental model. This was a fun collaboration with Mihir Bhagwat - we played with Cloudwatch insights metrics, ran into some corner cases, solved them through doc and AWS support and overall understood the learnings associated with it.
