The latest edition of India’s EV subsidy scheme (formerly called the FAME scheme) is here and seems to hit all the right spots! 🔋🚗⚡ With a strong focus on the segments that are electrifying the fastest, and being used the most by the common man - electric two wheelers, three wheelers, buses, trucks and of course a special focus on charging infrastructure - the PM E-Drive Scheme sets the stage for cementing EV adoption further over the next 2 years. 🔋🚗⚡ Apart from 14028 e-Buses, this scheme will subsidize 2.48 million electric two-wheelers and 316,000 electric three-wheelers. ⭐⭐⭐ The highlight of this newly approved scheme is the E-voucher for the EV buyer! At the time of purchasing an EV, the scheme portal will generate an Aadhaar authenticated e-Voucher for the buyer to avail the subsidy directly. Such forward-looking initiatives show a strong intent on the part of the Government to pursue the path of Electric Mobility in India.
