Having attended the 1st ever in person Lawyers Connect hosted by Pink Legal, it was a pleasure to be a part of an interaction with other lawyers who had indepth knowledge, vast experience and anecdotes from handling matrimonial cases over the years, that said, the interaction gave a reality check at the ground level and insight into the current status of matrimonial cases and how there is a need for reforms, and first and foremost self reform as counsels representing those navigating the matrimonial disputes. The discussions also brought forth issues and turmoil women face during the pendency of the disputes, and ideas were exchanged of how can small changes in the system help the women navigate these disputes with some support and result oriented approach.
