The Pink Revolution

The Pink Revolution is a volunteering-based student organisation to create BREAST CANCER AWARENESS among women. The organisation centres on creating awareness among people of all ages and genders, so as to equip them with various facts and myths about breast cancer, its causes, symptoms, cure and ways of prevention. We aim to not only spread awareness about breast cancer and women health issues but also assist in every possible way all those who are bravely fighting this disease, in whatever way we can. We believe that with correct information about the disease half the war (against ignorance) is already won and we have decided to become the foot soldiers in the same pursuit. The organisation currently has 25 members and 50 volunteers from different colleges across Chandigarh. We have successfully conducted 2 webinars on breast cancer awareness, 2 webinars on exercise and yoga for cancer patients and 1 webinar on nutrition with approximately 120 members in each webinar. We also have conducted 3 various awareness events l: a PUBG Tournament (for fundraising) , a Virtual Cyclothon/Walkathon and a unique sensitizing event called "Love Letters to Strangers." We have also collaborated with 6 different college organisations to organise a breast cancer awareness week in October 2020. We collaborated with Delhi International Model United Nations and addressed 180 participants and 50 organising members during the opening ceremony and the need for cancer awareness.
