This capacity was awarded through tariff-based competitive bids for setting up 500 MW Grid connected Hybrid Power Projects (Phase II), with an additional capacity option of up to 500 MW, as per a company statement. JSW Neo Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Energy, has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) for establishing a 192 MW grid-connected hybrid power project, which includes an additional 96 MW under the greenshoe option. With this capacity award, JSW Energy's total locked-in generation capacity rises to 16.2 GW, including 2.1 GW of total locked-in hybrid capacity. The company plans to achieve an installed generation capacity of 10 GW by FY25, up from the current 7.5 GW. JSW Energy's total locked-in generation capacity is 16.2 GW, comprising 7.5 GW operational, 2.3 GW under construction across wind, thermal, and hydro, and a 6.3 GW renewable energy pipeline (with PPAs signed for 2.0 GW). The company also has 4.2 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity through battery energy storage systems and hydro-pumped storage projects. JSW Energy aims to reach a generation capacity of 20 GW and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by 2030.
