It’s October 2024 🗓️, to a greater advocacy of #WorldMentalHealthWeek.. 🧠💡 The 2024 theme by the World Health Organization “emphasises the crucial role of addressing mental health and well-being in the workplace, benefiting not only individuals but also organisations and communities as a whole." This establishes a strong global benchmark by amplifying the word #mentalhealth and facilitating channels to advocate it at every micro-management level. Back to India, I would like to share this image that I took during my session as a Prevention of Sexual Harassment Trainer (POSH) at Sairam Institutions. I had a great exchange of conversation with the aspiring workforce not only on topics such as equity and gender sensitivity but also towards mental health advocacy as an important aspect of the workshop. Moving on to Australia 🇦🇺, I can say that there is no community or institution where mental health is not prioritised as it is essential to understanding and shaping the future. Sharing such instances and insights is well worth it. Together, let's achieve this 365-days commitment! 🤝 Project Bodhan | Oxfam at Monash #mentalhealthday2024 #mentalhealthmatters #endthestigma #mentalhealthadvocate #celebrateindividuals #projectbodhan #oxfaminternational

It's been a while I spoke about Project Bodhan, my nonprofit. This is a brief post acknowledging one of our former international volunteers who has worked with us for over three years and continuously expanded his portfolio by incorporating it into his professional goals. This is about Krishay Sridalla, who started out as an intern at Bodhan and later advanced to head teams and international projects. It can get very difficult to leverage tasks and delegation while working remotely from the United States. However, this passionate individual stood out for working toward a successful job. The three main areas of emphasis were developing a micromanaged strategy, comprehending the structure, and managing time effectively. In 2021, Krishay made an effort of focusing on programs that covered mental health and gender sensitization because he was well-aware of the complexities involved and how they related to his medical profession. Eventually focusing towards policies as well. In addition, he leveraged the editing division to implement his expertise in enhancing and training law student interns. The global compact of volunteers to understand the inclusivity of a workplace is very simple when it is being decoded in one’s own language and, moreover, dedicated to understanding the purpose of the cause. This exemplary attitude is what made Krishay stand out. At Bodhan, we wish him the very best for his MD at Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine and his career as he progresses. You can be one of them; it’s not through a platform but about sharing a common theory. Feel free to chat! #projectbodhan #volunteersstory #globalexample #youthengagement

Motivation combined with learning is a powerful force! Why? POSH & IC are the connections in this instance. - Real-world experiences and practical information are the greatest ways to impart knowledge on subjects one is unaware of. - A wonderful source of motivation is acknowledging the shift and pressing ahead to promote a better tomorrow. - Furthermore, the combination is determined by a number of factors as we relate it to our life and how we envision a workable society where inclusivity can be brought about. A quick reflection from one of my best corporate training session with Viveks focused on POSH and Internal Compliance. These are those lines, I said during my interview with Project Qaabil a few months ago, about the experiences I have both witnessed and experienced. But perhaps this is one of those suggestions that is valuable to consider going forward. Do read up on it! A bright Sunday morning started with profound insights as we delved into one of the most important societal topics, the POCSO Act, facilitated by Adv. Shakshi Goyal, Founding Partner, Nyaypratham Legal. The session was co-organized by Project Bodhan & LawInternships (The Online Law School), drawing law students from various schools eager to learn more about the intricacies of the Act.
