🌟 Thrilled to share the first project of my Power BI internship with Psyliq🌟 I had the opportunity to dive deep into Power BI with a project focusing on Diabetes Prediction Analysis. The project involved not only visualizing data but also conducting advanced calculations to provide insights into health patterns. Here’s what I worked on: 🔍 Project Overview: This project centered on predicting the probability of individuals having diabetes based on various health factors, such as age, BMI, gender, and hypertension. The process involved: Data Cleansing: Tackled missing values and outliers using advanced techniques, ensuring that the dataset was clean and reliable for analysis. Applied Excel's conditional formatting for handling missing values, alongside methods like interpolation. Data Visualizations: Developed an insightful and interactive dashboard showcasing key insights from the dataset. Created gender distribution visualizations to highlight gender-based trends in diabetes prevalence. DAX Calculations: Calculated Columns: Built calculated columns using DAX expressions to categorize age groups and other key variables. Advanced Measures: Used DAX to compute metrics like the average BMI for individuals with hypertension and rolling averages of blood glucose levels over a 3-month period. Probability Measure: Created a measure to predict the likelihood of diabetes based on various health attributes like age, gender, and BMI. Data Modeling & Filtering: Designed efficient data models to join multiple tables and enable dynamic filtering. Leveraged row-level security to restrict access to sensitive data based on user roles. Key DAX Highlights: CALCULATE() for complex filtering and conditional calculations. SUMMARIZE() to group and aggregate data. TOTALYTD() for year-to-date analysis of blood glucose levels. 🎯 Project Outcomes: This dashboard not only presents a snapshot of health trends but can also serve as a predictive tool for identifying individuals at higher risk of diabetes based on historical data.
