Nearly half a year ago I started offering car pool on my way to work place and back. Almost half a decade back I used to struggle to find the most suitable mode of transport to reach work place. Hence, I felt now it was time to offer others in need due to very limited & safer public transportation options in Gurgaon. I never realised that during this phase I may have contributed a bit to curtail CO2 emission. Out of the blue, I was notified with my contribution towards CO2 emission reduction. *UPDATE on Bengaluru Traffic* 😵 My last post went viral with 6 lakh+ impressions. From people telling me to leave Bengaluru to others suggesting solutions and sharing the same pain. 🫂 Here are some things that I tried in the last month which I felt could be useful for most of us. 1. QuickRide 🤝, This was the most useful and impactful solution for now. This app connects you with private vehicle owners going from the same route. And honestly my experience has been really smooth, also it’s very cheap and you build some really great connections by meeting new people everyday :)) 2. BMTC bus 🚌, this one’s straightforward, busses are always a relief if you have a bus stand nearby. From JMPC to HSR it took me only Rs 27. The cheapest option available. Though it gets crowded at peak hours. 3. What I ultimately did after struggling for a month, get a house near your office. I shifted to just 1km from my office and now I just walk. 🚶 4. Probably what we all are waiting for NAMMA METRO 🖲️, blue line is really the need of the hour now as traffic feels like it’s rising every day. The Outer Ring Road will get a relief when the metro starts. On a side note to all the kannada natives, please don’t be so harsh on the outsiders. We all are figuring out our ways here. And criticism will only make the place better for everyone :)) What else do you think could be the solutions for this traffic??
