#HiringAlert Role – Quality Engineer @ Radcom Packaging Pvt. Ltd. - India Location – Dadra, Vapi Job Description: • In process Quality control (IPQC) 1. Inspecting and testing material, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met. 2. Excellent knowledge of handling Instruments like Vernier calliper, Height gauge, Leakage Tester etc. 3. Conduct tests and verify by evidence that the product meets the specified requirements. 4. Conducting regular inspections of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to identify any defects or non-conformities. 5. Training and educating associated on quality standards, GMP, and the importance of quality control in the manufacturing process. 6. Maintain accurate quality control records and documentation. 7. Identify and report any non-conformities or deviations from quality requirements and work with relevant departments to address and rectify issues. 8. Collaborate with production teams to improve processes and reduce waste. 9. Coordinate with external/Internal auditors for quality audits and inspections. 10. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards related to product quality and ensure compliance within the organization. • Incoming Quality Control & Pre-dispatch Inspection (IQC & PDI) 1. Conduct tests and verify by evidence that the product meets the specified requirements. 2. Maintain accurate IQC & PDI records and documentation. 3. Excellent knowledge of handling Instruments like Vernier calliper, Height gauge, Leakage Tester etc. 4. The IQC/PDI team must ensure that all materials meet the quality standards set by the company. This involves checking for defects, damages, and other quality issues. 5. Performing testing and analysis of products to assess their quality and performance characteristics. 6. Coordinate with external/Internal auditors for quality audits and inspections. 7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality assurance procedures and make recommendations for improvements. 8. Work with suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed. 9. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste. 10. Analyse quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to prevent quality issues in the future. 11. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing global purchase and sourcing of finished goods and all aspects of import operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: -To manage global sourcing of finished goods from countries like Taiwan, Hong Kong & China. -Coordinate and oversee import/export shipments from start to finish, including documentation, customs clearance, transportation, and delivery. -Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations, including customs laws, trade regulations, and licensing requirements. -Prepare and review shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin. -Communicate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. -Maintain accurate records of all import/export activities, including shipping schedules, inventory levels, and compliance documentation. -Monitor and analyze import/export trends, tariffs, and regulations to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings. -Collaborate with internal departments, such as sales, purchasing, and logistics, to coordinate import/export activities and resolve any issues or discrepancies. -Provide guidance and support to colleagues regarding import/export procedures, documentation requirements, and compliance standards. -Stay informed about changes in import/export laws and regulations and ensure that company policies and procedures are updated accordingly. Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree in business, international trade, logistics, or a related field. -Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in import/global sourcing operations, preferably in the rigid packaging industry. -Strong knowledge of import/global sourcing regulations, customs procedures, and international trade practices. -Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. -Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications. -Certification in import/export management or customs brokerage (preferred).
