In another step by REC towards the cause of sanitation facilities, a 20 seated Community Toilet Complex for women and men with provision of running water in slum areas of Dayal Nagar, Faridabad, was inaugurated on June 29, 2024. With the aim of enhancing research, education and patient care, the REC Foundation, the CSR arm of REC Ltd., has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the GSVM Medical College in Kanpur. During the signing ceremony, Sh. Shambhu Gupta, CPM, REC Regional Office, Lucknow represented the REC Foundation and Dr. Sanjay Kala, Principal and Dean, represented GSVM Medical College. Under this MoA, a support of ₹9.98 crore would be extended for the procurement of advanced medical equipments. This would go a long way in improving the healthcare infrastructure of Kanpur and adjoining areas. With this aid, advanced equipment including 5 Plasmair units for air decontamination, 5 Rediroom mobile isolation rooms, along with laparoscopic staplers and IMAGE1 S Rubina EndoVision system 4K, 3D will be procured.
