The ongoing National-Level Baitbaazi competition, hosted by the Rekhta Foundation, has brought together students and institutions across India in the celebration of an age-old tradition cherished across India, Pakistan, and the global Urdu-speaking diaspora. The verbal game of memory, wit, and poetic knowledge is more than just entertainment—it ignites a passion for learning and strengthens the youth’s connection with the Urdu language. The Foundation always seeks to bring forgotten art forms to the surface, giving them the recognition they deserve. In reviving art forms like Baitbaazi, the aim is to ensure these traditions remain alive for future generations. This event, in particular, serves as an educational and cultural reference that showcases the timeless beauty of Urdu poetry for all to see and experience.
