Here’s a quick recap of key insights shared so far: Arvind Parthiban (CEO & Co-founder, SuperOps) noted that while building products is becoming easier, sales and marketing are getting tougher. The right positioning helps differentiate your SaaS in a crowded market. Founders need to prioritize marketing from day one by giving it a seat at the table and hiring a product marketer early on. Ankit Oberoi (CEO, Geniee International Group) and Kalyan Varma of Almabase 🎓(Co-founder & CEO, Almabase) emphasized the importance of clearly defining your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). A well-defined ICP ensures that everyone in the company aligns their communication, sales, and targeting around it. If you have existing customers, analyze cohorts to find your best-fit ICP. If you're just starting out, focus on customer discovery. Ajit Ghuman (Co-founder & CEO, Monetizely) stressed that a solid pricing strategy is critical. It is Day 2 of Caravan and we have just wrapped up our GTM tracks. Here are some quick highlights from the sessions: 👉 Abhishek Kaushik, WeCP(Co-founder & CEO, WeCP | We Create Problems) shared insights from their 0-1M GTM journey, emphasizing that startups can succeed in selling to enterprises by focusing on a highly targeted ICP, investing in “silent branding,” understanding business use cases deeply, and proactively supporting procurement teams with everything they need for fast decision-making. 👉Dini M. (Executive in Residence, Peak XV Partners) highlighted that to scale, GTM teams requires planning growth levers based on the company’s stage, deeply caring about customers, hiring the right people, building a performance-driven culture, and ensuring that the whole company owns revenue targets. 👉Sahil Aggarwal(CEO & Co-founder, Rattle 🦖) discussed how key metrics change depending on the stage of the startup. Pre-PMF, focus on retention. During Early PMF, track YOY growth, sales dashboard, GRR, and NRR. Post-PMF, focus on metrics like CAC payback, magic number, gross margin, burn multiple, and runway. 👉Peter Kim (Head of GTM, WestBridge Capital) stressed the importance of having a Customer Advisory Board to validate product strategies, understand customer pain points, test market assumptions, and refine GTM plans—especially for breaking into the US market. 👉Rishi Bhargava (Co-founder, Descope) underscored that the pillars of GTM are the user, buyer, and product. Understanding their needs, behaviours, and attitudes is essential for building a winning GTM strategy. 👉Manish Jindal (Advisor, DevRev) reminded us that not all account executives (AEs) are the same. Your sales team should be tailored to your target market segment, ensuring the right fit for success. 👉Aishwarya Srinivasan (Senior AI Advisor, Microsoft for Startups) shared strategies on scaling AI startups by building sustainable models and creating strong competitive moats.
