A Walk Down Memory Lane… Feeling nostalgic and deeply honored to have been invited as a guest in the Technical Session in one of the key tracks at the 8th International Conference on “Empowering Change: Innovations for a Transformative Future @Viksit Bharat 2047”, held in hybrid mode from March 27-29, 2025, at the IMS Seminar Hall. A heartfelt thank you to my old colleague, Dr. Govind Prasad Goyal, for this wonderful opportunity to reconnect and contribute to such a prestigious academic discourse. A special note of gratitude to IMS College, Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Neelam Saxena, and Chairman of IMS Law College, Noida, Shri Rajeev Kumar Gupta, for their warm hospitality and for organizing such a remarkable conference that fosters intellectual growth and visionary dialogues. The exchange of ideas, the camaraderie, and the vision for a Viksit Bharat 2047 made this experience incredibly enriching. Looking forward to continuing these meaningful collaborations in the future! The School of Liberal Arts and the Times School of Media at Bennett University successfully hosted a thought-provoking symposium on Pūrṇatā on March 25, 2025. Organized in collaboration with the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR) and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), this symposium marked the second edition of the Philosophy of Pūrṇatā series. Bringing together scholars from Jawaharlal Nehru University, the University of Delhi, and Rishihood University, the event explored how the Indian Knowledge System can address misinformation, digital deception, and the pursuit of epistemic clarity in today’s rapidly evolving media landscape. The discussions juxtaposed the concept of pūrṇatā (wholeness/inclusivity) with Radical Transparency (RT), a framework prominent in global conversations on truth and accountability. Keynote addresses included Prof. Balaganapathi Devarakonda (University of Delhi) on the philosophical foundations of pūrṇatā; Prof. Sampadananda Mishra (Rishihood University) on epistemic challenges in the digital realm; and Prof. Ajay Verma (Jawaharlal Nehru University) on evolving credibility and contested truths in contemporary discourse. Engaging discussions highlighted how pūrṇatā and RT shape journalism, policymaking, workplaces, and academia, reinforcing the need for epistemological clarity in an era of information overload. The event concluded with a dynamic Q&A session, where participants explored the practical applications of these philosophical concepts in the digital world. The symposium was particularly relevant for students and scholars of Liberal Arts & School of Media, providing them with a deeper understanding of interdisciplinary approaches to contemporary issues and fostering critical engagement with philosophical concepts. #BennettUniversity #Philosophy #Purnata #RadicalTransparency #IndianKnowledgeSystem

The abstruse and allegedly mystical concept of ‘Pūrṇatā,’ that I serendipitously came across in 2003 during my graduate studies at Southern Methodist University (Dallas, Texas), found its first concrete expression in November 2024 when we organized the inaugural edition of the symposium 'The Philosophy of ‘Pūrṇatā’' at Bennett University. In the second edition, held yesterday, with well-thought-out contributions from Profs. Sampadananda Mishra (Rishihood University), Balaganapathi Devarakonda (Delhi University), Ajay Verma (Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU)), and Drs. Dr Tilak Jha (朝帝) and Dr. Surbhi Uniyal the concept is gaining greater articulatable clarity. Had we in India not intuited and worked on the concept of ‘Pūrṇatā,’ we probably would not have been able to understand the complementary concept of 'Shunyata' in a way that allowed us to harness ZERO as the foundation of the world we all live in today! Stay engaged as we expand on these symposiums and soon present a framework for collective critique and contribution. The initiatives and hard work of many student volunteers from the School of Liberal Arts, Bennett University and the Times School of Media made this event a grand success. cc School of Liberal Arts, Bennett University; Dr Tilak Jha (朝帝); Dr. Surbhi Uniyal; Pratyush Pranav

The School of Liberal Arts at Bennett University is proud to share the success of a recent 3-day experiential learning trip to the Kaaya Learning Centre in Dehradun! This impactful initiative was expertly organized by our students, Akshar Garg, Rachit Tewari, and Nishant Raj, for 20 of their peers. Our students had a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the principles of sustainable living and community development at Kaaya Learning Centre. Located near Dehradun, Kaaya is an inspiring example of commitment to self-sufficiency and sustainable practices. From its eco-friendly infrastructure, built using innovative techniques like local mud brick construction, to its support of local economies by showcasing organically produced goods from neighboring villages, Kaaya embodies a truly responsible approach. During the trip, our students engaged directly with Kaaya's community outreach efforts, witnessing firsthand the center's impactful community service to local villagers. This real-world experience provided invaluable context for a design thinking workshop, enriching their understanding through practical application. Beyond the academic learning, the warmth and hospitality of the Kaaya staff created a memorable experience, complete with engaging activities like pottery and an evening bonfire. This trip exemplifies the School of Liberal Arts' commitment to experiential learning and fostering socially responsible citizens. We extend our sincere gratitude to Kaaya Learning Centre for their exceptional hospitality and for providing such an enriching and inspiring environment for our students. #experientiallearning #Bennettuniversity

To International Women’s Day and Month. A workshop that was extremely fulfilling with students of Times School of Media (TSOM) Bennett University. I would really like to thank Rekha Pachauri for encouraging me to do it. It was very motivating to talk about gender and sexuality especially at a time when misogyny has become so normalised- be it stand up comedy to everyday politics. We looked at questions of gender and stereotypes. #bennett #media #TSOM #workshop #gender #sensitization
