SciKnowTech Education Foundation celebrated "World Heart Day" with an insightful session on heart health and wellness, led by Dr. Parthiv Mehta, a Senior Pulmonologist-Intensivist, in collaboration with the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce (GCCI), Thakershy Charitable Trust, and SciKnowTech VIPNET Club. The event was the brainchild of Dr. Megha Bhatt, Founder of SciKnowTech. A packed audience of children and parents listened as Dr. Mehta masterfully explained the close connection between the heart and lungs, tailoring his talk to both young minds and adults. Mr. Manthan Rawal, fresh off his "Ironman" feat of completing a 4 km swim, 180 km bike ride, and a 42 km marathon in under 17 hours, also inspired the crowd. SciKids set up six creative stalls, featuring a giant heart model, a robotic pulse meter, oximeter readings, blood pressure checks, and more, turning science into fun! The event concluded with an energetic Zumba session by Dr. Zalak Vasavada, getting everyone’s hearts racing—literally. GCCI officials, Mr. Apoorva Thakershy, Mrs. Shilpa Patel and Mr. Dharmendra Joshi were also in attendance. #worldheartday2024

US Consulate officials alongwith Ms. Tejal Vasavada from American Corner-Ahmedabad graced the occasion. The full-house event featured an engaging talk by Mr. Tanmaye Vyas, founder of Tanmaye’s Amazing Space, who shared insights into recent developments in space exploration, future missions, and the importance of global collaboration. He inspired young attendees to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The event was honored by the presence of US Consulate Mumbai officials, Ms. Sita Reiter and Ms. Sita Moopnar, along with Ms. Tejal Vasavada from American Corner-Ahmedabad. Dr. Bhatt energized the event further with a Space Trivia, where children won bookmarks for correct answers. SciKid Yugandhar led an engaging paper plane-making session, which added a creative twist to the celebrations The celebration ended on a delightful note with vibrant stalls featuring space-themed cupcakes, star-shaped cookies, and handcrafted bookmarks—all lovingly created by the talented young members of the SciKnowTech Foundation Club. SciKnowTech Education Foundation celebrated "World Heart Day" in a heart-to-heart insightful talk on heart, health & wellness with Dr. Parthiv Mehta (Senior Pulmonologist-Intensivist) in association with Gujarat Chamber of Commerce (GCCI) as programme partner, Thakershy Charitable Trust as Venue Partner & SciKnowTech VIPNET Club as associate partner. It was a full-house of children & parents, where Dr. Parthiv explained how heart and lungs so tightly related to each other & how lungs are common "friends" to so many other body organs. He on one hand went to the level of children to explain things so simplistically, but the same time, adults too had so much meaningful information from his talk. Mr. Manthan Rawal inspired the audience with his journey to have become "Ironman" by completing 4 kms of swim, 180 kms of cycling & 42 kms of marathon back-to-back under 17 hours in USA. SciKids established 6 stalls - explaining working of heart with a wall-size painting, explaining flow of blood with a huge heart-model, pulse-meter made using robotics, oximeter reading by children, hand-made bookmark stalls & measuring blood pressure & pulse by hospital.
