⚡Transforming Perungudi into a Thriving Micro Urban Forest! Seerakku and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited have joined forces to bring a micro-urban forest to life in Perungudi! This initiative is about more than just trees—it’s a commitment to a greener, healthier future for our city. 🌳 What We Did: We planted 200 native saplings, representing 15 unique tree species. By using the Miyawaki forest method, we’re fast-tracking forest growth to create a lush, self-sustaining green space that will thrive for generations. 🌱🌿 Why We Did: Urban forests breathe life into cities. They purify the air, provide shade, reduce pollution, and support local biodiversity. Today, Seerakku collaborated with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited to establish a micro urban forest in Perungudi. This initiative involved the plantation of 200 indigenous tree species, representing 15 different varieties, utilizing the Miyawaki forest method. At Marina Beach in Chennai, Seerakku, in partnership with the Greater Chennai Corporation and Nirmaan Foundation, led a beach cleanup drive. 💪 Alongside fifty enthusiastic corporate volunteers from Wells Fargo, we united to restore the beauty of our coastline and protect our marine ecosystem! 🌊💚 What We Do Seerakku is also committed to cleaning up natural spaces like beaches, rivers, and parks to support biodiversity and improve environmental health. Our efforts go beyond picking up trash – we aim to raise awareness and inspire a community movement for a cleaner, greener world. 🌎 Why We Do It Beaches are essential for marine life, tourism, and community wellness. Litter on our shores pollutes oceans, harms wildlife, and detracts from the natural beauty we cherish.
