"In the heart of every orphaned girl lies a story of resilience waiting to be told."💖 Selfless Sewa got a chance to visit a Girls Orphanage. Listening to their stories - some of loss, some of hope, some of resilience. One thing that was common among all of them was the glimmer in their eyes. ✨ The beam of excitement that someone was there to meet them there, to engage with them, most importantly , to listen to them<3. Our सेवकs had wholesome conversations with those sweet little girls, played with them. Every smile they exchanged lit up the room, reminding us that even small acts of kindness can create ripples of change. Keeping in mind the growing concern of safety, especially for girls, we conducted a "Good-Touch, Bad-Touch" Workshop with them. We ensured they understood the intentions of a stranger. Our visit truly reminded us of how grateful we should be for having everything someone wishes to have. Let's all work together to brighten the future by empowering young women like them.🩵🫶🏻 Join Us: https://lnkd.in/gjW7gNsm Follow Us: https://lnkd.in/gx2Ush6z

"Your background doesn't define your future; your determination does!"💚 In a world where privilege often shapes opportunities, the contrast becomes striking. Many of us grow up surrounded by resources, support and awareness. It shapes us as a person, develops our "personality", our character as a human being. Having access to this kind of support helps us process our emotions better, and live a much worth full life. However, the barriers others face can feel insurmountable. Many of them struggle to secure even three meals in a day, highlighting the stark reality that emotional education often remains out of reach for them. We, at Selfless Sewa, decided to bridge that gap, by breaking these walls of barriers, by recognising the potential within each child.🔮 Our सेवकs conducted a Personality Development workshop in a centre where underprivileged children are equipped with the knowledge of computer. As we engaged in our personality development workshop, we explored the invaluable qualities that define who they are. They shared with us, anecdotes of resilience and courage, emphasizing that true strength often emerges from adversity<3 Then was the turn of the "Gratitude Tree ☘️", our volunteers made for the kids. The kids were asked to jot down on paper, any one thing they were thankful for, which could be anything ranging from having their small toy car to having their parents beside them.🫶🏻 Each leaf we attached represented not only gratitude for the small joys in their lives but also dreams for a brighter future!🥹🩵 Join Us: https://lnkd.in/gjW7gNsm Follow Us: https://lnkd.in/gx2Ush6z

We all have grown up celebrating Diwali with utmost joy, love and excitement. Lighting up our homes, sharing delicious meals, exchanging gifts and wearing beautiful attires... After all it's the festival of lights.⭐ While some of us gather with our families, others face loneliness and hardships. Picture a child watching other families celebrating Diwali from a distance while he longs to secure two meals in a day and has no one to celebrate it with. ❤🩹 Stories like these remind us that we should not take our privileges for granted and break these invisible walls of barriers created by the society. Because these pure souls deserve to celebrate this joyous time more than we do!💗🧿 At Selfless Sewa, we relentlessly work hard, so that no one feels like they're lonely at this auspicious time. Each diya we light not only symbolizes the victory of light over darkness but also ourcommitment to sharing this joy with those who may feel left out.💛✨ Think of the stories we’ve created together—how a small act of kindness has touched lives and brought smiles where they were needed most.<3 Here's to a Diwali filled with warmth and compassion. Let's come together and make this festival bright for everyone around us 🤍! शुभ दीपावली ।🪔🫶🏻

When passing through the narrow lanes of slums, repeating In your head the lessons you're supposed to teach today, there's often a flutter In your stomach. Nervousness swirled with something new, something better- a desire to bring a change. "Will they even listen to me?" "Will I even help them?" So, as our bags swing off of our shoulders, we silently hope for just that. Change. बदलाव. As we reach our favourite spot- the small area adorned with leaves and makeshift stools with a bunch of women gathered around, we finally begin our lesson and our journey. Recently, we threw light on Financial Literacy. 73.5% of women In rural areas are self-employed and yet lack the knowledge about money management. So, we watched them ask questions, and discuss their aspirations with one another. In the heart of the session, we handed each of them a small piggy bank-a blank canvas that would soon represent more than just savings. As they dipped their brushes into vibrant hues, we talked about budgeting—the art of saving not just money, but dreams. Oh, how beautiful Is empowerment. "It’s always been my husband's job," spoke one of the woman, her voice trembling slightly, "but now it’s time for me to learn." We always talked about how we loved watch their eyes sparkle when they learnt something new but hearing that truly made our eyes sparkle. Oh, how beautiful Is change. If you share Selfless Sewa's belief, we invite you to join us in this journey. Together, we can continue creating opportunities for growth and positive change, one lesson at a time🖌🤍 Join Us: https://lnkd.in/gjW7gNsm Follow Us: https://lnkd.in/gx2Ush6z

We oftentimes end up in group discussions related to the rising concerns regarding climate change. We talk hours and hours, come up with arguments, pose questions and who knows what. Then while coming back home we throw our garbage anywhere without a care. Just be honest with yourselves. Can you keep a hand on your heart and say that you actually care about the environment? Most of us would say NO. That's the harsh reality. People are hardwired in a mindset of , "How would my efforts make a difference anyway? I'm just one person." And honestly, it's true. What difference would a single individual's efforts make in making this Earth a cleaner place? Just think about it, if everybody starts thinking the same way, nothing is going to change. Here is when our सेवकs come to aid. With the cleanliness drives we conduct, our primary objective is not just contributing to cleanliness in our environment, but also a drive to change the mindset of this world. Our fully dedicated volunteers pick up the non biodegradable waste , segregate it, and dispose it off. Collecting hundreds of kgs of trash almost every other weekend, we are a living proof that how the integrated efforts of individuals can bring about wonders. 🌍 You see , they say: Whatever you do comes back to you in some form. If all of us come together, co-operate with each other, combine our efforts for a Cleaner Earth; in no time we can be bringing significant visible changes in the environment we're staying in. Someone rightly said, "Those who think they are crazy enough to change the world, are the ones who do!"💙 In a world of "what ifs", Selfless Sewa is an ardent follower of "Let's do It!". This changemaker attitude of our heartily committed volunteers is what drives us to keep moving forward on this long journey to come. So, come forward. Join our precious family to be a part of this project where we endeavour to make this land a 'Cleaner' and a 'Healthier' place to live. 📍 Delhi 📍 Dehradun

"You can’t change an animal's past, but you can rewrite the future." Through taking strolls In the city, soaking In the night life, It so often happens, you spot an animal resting on the corner of a road. Except the animal Isn't resting, It is lifeless. You cannot undo tragedies, only do your part and make a change. Which is why we entered a place where corners echo with different sounds and little paw prints are seen everywhere you go, following you like a small trail of love. Yes, An Animal Shelter under our Project, जीवकल्याण। It was a place filled with rescued dogs- golden retrievers and german shepherds rescued from the very people who had the responsibility to love and protect them. Disease-ridden and soft hearted, hurt and easily spooked, they finally had found their home. At first, hesitance was visible in their big eyes and as our hands reached out to them, they backed away on Instinct. But, every story of healing starts with a pinch of patience and trust. So, as the minutes ticked by and we showed no reluctance in assuring them, their tails wagged and out they came, from the shadows with their tongues out and in typical nature, asking for food with their puppy dog eyes- quite literally in some cases. Rescue isn’t just a verb, it’s a promise to the ones who need us the most. Animals love you more than they love themselves so to show our part in giving them back the same love, we donated food to fill both their tummies and soul. What could be more delightful than their little attacks of adoration on you? This is why, we at Selfless Sewa believe that when animals are provided with what they deserve, It is us who are truly rescued. Feel the same? You can always join us and support our cause🫶 Join Us: https://lnkd.in/gjW7gNsm Follow Us: https://lnkd.in/gx2Ush6z

Let's silence the stigma- not our needs. Our recent pad distribution drive across multiple cities was more than just handing out sanitary products—it was about opening the door to a conversation that is often described as "shameful" and "unnecessary". Women are often expected to hide their "disease" in thick black bags and generations of coverted shame. Well, here under project चिकित्सा, we took steps not to undo the damage, but to create a new and safer environment. Our सेवक's walked In not only with a bag full of pads In hand but also with a heart to make a much needed change. Often, the quietness and smallness of their voice is enough to shrivel our hearts but as the hesitation melts away and their eyes sparkle, there is an unspoken connection- "I finally feel seen". As disheartening as it was to see the circumstances bring them down and their body language telling stories their voices couldn't, a ray of hope still peeked through it all when this space space was handed to them. From our hearts to theirs. If the stigma hasn't stopped stopped, why should we? Bodies of women are vessels of growth and love, It's time we talk about them as such. This is Selfless Sewa. If you believe in this cause, let's join our hands to make progress for those who can't do it for themselves. The society will never stop and neither will we. "भाईया, थैंक यू आने के लिए!" Despite of the saying "It's a small world", we at Selfless Sewa sometimes do not agree. It's a big world- often, divided into two. A wall, a wedge standing between the two seperating the two halves. But, this is what we aspire to do, to raise our fists and If not break, then crack that very wall. Recently, our सेवक's visited a special kids school in Sirsa where we met kids who were big and tiny and everything in between. What made them different was what made them special. But, one thing in common? Their mighty, mighty hearts. You see, It's not just about what सेवक's can do for these children, It's a completely reciprocatory feeling, including what they can do for us. As the small girl laughed and her best friend high-fived her, our smiles cracked a little wider and our worlds got a whole lot bigger. During this time, young girls were given a menstrual hygeine workshop with the aim to plant the seed of confidence In them. So they can grow with adequate knowlege and not with fear and shame. The learning doesn't always lies In the books. Sometimes, you find It In simple conversations, between the echoes of laughter and a classic game of 'sit and stand'. As the ice slowly breaks, so does the wall. If you believe in this cause, It's time we combine our Insights and come together to spread pure, raw and authentic joy.

बुरा न देखो, बुरा न बोलो, बुरा न सुनो । "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil." The much renowned wording of the 'Father Of The Nation': Mahatma Gandhi. Known for his humble attitude and altruistic behaviour, Gandhi Ji had a lot to teach us. Alongside preaching humbleness and kindness, he taught us to walk on the paths of 'Truth and Non - Violence💙'. Dedicating his entire life to the service of the country’s people, and because of his humble demeanour and humanitarian behaviour, Gandhi ji was regarded as the “Father of the Nation" and popularly known as "Bapu." 2nd October: This day, every year, is observed as the birthday of Gandhi ji, also to commemorate the efforts he had put in to free the country from the British Raj. Gandhi Jayanti is a delightful celebration that marks one of India’s most pivotal historical moments. This day is more than just his birthday, it is when we remember the values he has inculcated in the Modern Indian society. If we dig deep into ourselves, we would realise how much our lives can turn around by just incorporating Gandhi Ji's values in our day to day lives. The way he tirelessly yet peacefully kept protesting in order to liberate us from the Britishers, the way giving up was not an option, how self discipline and self dependency go hand in hand. Advocating simplicity throughout his life, he's the primary inspiration to today's youth for standing up for themselves and do the right deeds. A role model, an excellent leader, a relentless freedom fighter: Gandhi ji was all of it. Today's the day, to reflect on the importance of self-discipline and the power of peaceful resistance in the face of injustice. Witnessing his efforts is a powerful reminder, that justice requires nothing except the truth : सत्य। Let's all ignite the purpose of our lives and pay a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by honouring his teachings<3. Selfless Sewa wishes you all a very Happy Gandhi Jayanti!♥️ Join Us: https://lnkd.in/gjW7gNsm Follow Us: https://lnkd.in/gx2Ush6z
