#mystartuplearnings Learning 1: Use a subscription management software! This should be a non-negotiable for you! All agreements which you sign are sneaky and all businesses out there are here to make money and they have very very sneaky auto-renewal clauses which you miss out! For example, we use the best product analytics, marketing, etc. tools (I don't want to name the best ones, you know them) all of them have sneaky clauses. And when it was time for us to cancel some of them, they slammed these sneaky clauses saying that you have signed it. And when we say that this wasn't shared upfront, they say either of these reasons: 1. The person handling it has left the company so we don't know what you spoke 2. You have signed it so pay it-simple Some companies- I should shout out for them like Singular have been generous enough and have a phenomenal customer support team who understand the situations and are flexible. Such companies value customer relations and what they stand for as a business more than just revenue! But the majority of them would like to suck the money out of you! Zluri Recurly etc are some of the best Subscription management platforms out there. They might just cost you a few dollars but trust me they will save you tons of money! TikTok Smart+ vs Meta Advantage+ vs Google App Campaigns ... it's the battle of AI-driven ad automation on massive global platforms. There are 2 things going on here: 1. automating ad campaigns 2. using up all of each platforms' available ad impression supply #1 sounds good, and it can be, but it can also automate wasting your money fast if you're not careful. #2 is great for the platforms, but risks your ads displaying in less performant corners of these vast machines. The obvious incentive: make your ROAS good, but not insane. The better it is in some specific placements, the more the platform can use up non-performant supply while still providing an overall-decent ROI. Useful information From Philip Buerger: "Video now represents more than 60% of time spent on Facebook, Instagram, for example. And so we've seen particularly two concepts or strategies working really, really well, which are character-led stories, which are great formats because they're easy to integrate problem, solution sales formulas in it in a very authentic way, while you still can create emotional connection with the character and make it entertaining while still having a selling ad. And the other part is useful information. And that makes sense because if you think of making concepts for specific placement platform, you need to understand why people come to that, what they're looking for. And people come to TikTok or Reels because they want to get either entertainment or they want to find learn something new. And so those have been two concepts that have been working really, really well ..."
