We are the women in #spacetech. We are the girls who looked at the stars and found our destiny. Each one of us took our own path to be here... Ramya's began in a small village near the temple town of Tirupati, amidst expectations to simply grow up and get married; Swarna's journeyed through teenage marriage, early motherhood, and many curveballs; Pritisha's took her from a hamlet in Titlagarh, Odisha, to the cradle of deep tech; Mansi's defied the lack of access to quality education or the resistance to find her own place in the world; Sonu's broke the expectations set for her by the community and surroundings; Mehak's deviated from an armed forces family to take another path to serve the nation... each one of us has taken a trajectory that has gone against the grain and swum against the tide to simply chase our burning ambition. We are the women at Skyroot. And we are the voice of a new India... the voice of unfiltered ambition, of passion and perseverance, of determination. Our journey is to be determined not by where it began, but by where it will take us. It's a journey to build a future... to build India's first privately developed rockets. Some of us shape the avionics, some design the airframe, some fire up the engine development, some others make the economics of rocket science possible, while some others build the team that makes rocket science possible. In a 7-storey tall rocket, we are writing our story in the sky... in the vacuum of space, we are determined to make our voices heard... through what we build down here on Earth, through what we make in India. India and France share a deep-rooted space collaboration since the 1960s, and space remains a key focus for both nations, as highlighted by both the heads of state. The CEO forum emphasized the joint promotion of New-Space startups, reinforcing the future of Indo-French cooperation in this critical domain. 🚀🛰️ It was truly enriching to meet the CEOs of globally leading French companies like Airbus, Safran, Capgemini, Michelin, Air Liquide, ENGIE and more.
