Dermatoglyphics, the study of fingerprints, palm prints, and sole prints, holds valuable information about individual characteristics and genetic traits. By integrating latent diffusion models, which excel in capturing complex dependencies within data, we aim to extract nuanced patterns and features from dermatoglyphic images. This project holds promise for applications in forensic science, medical diagnostics, and anthropology.   Project – 2 Title: *Automated Answer Sheet Evaluation and Ranking System*   Project Overview: The project aims to develop an advanced system that leverages Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to evaluate and rank student answer sheets. This innovative tool is designed to streamline the grading process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and fairness in educational assessments.   Project – 3 Project Title: Development of an Interactive Chatbot and Survey System for Teacher Feedback   Project Description: This project aims to revolutionize the way feedback is collected and processed in educational institutions by replacing traditional scanned PDF evaluations with an interactive chatbot and multiple-choice survey system. This digital transformation will facilitate a more engaging, efficient, and accessible means for students and other stakeholders to provide feedback on teaching performance. Utilizing the latest in chatbot technology and survey design, this system will allow for real-time feedback collection, analysis, and reporting.   Project – 4 Project Title: Development of an AI-Powered Question Bank for JEE and UPSC Examinations   Project Description: This project is focused on leveraging the capabilities of GPT-4 Turbo to develop a comprehensive question bank for two of India's most competitive exams: the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam. The project aims to create a dynamic and accessible resource for students preparing for these exams, providing not only a vast array of practice questions but also detailed solutions facilitated by advanced AI technologies. S4DS Life Time Achievement Award 2024 was conferred on Dr. Govindasamy Viswanathan (GV), who is the Founder and Chancellor of Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT). He has 40 years of experience in the field of Educational Administration. Dr. Viswanathan's passion for serving the society has paved the way for activities that foster a lifelong commitment to community service through various useful projects and programmes. The Centre for Sustainable Rural Development and Research Studies, Skill Development Programmes, Support the Advancement of Rural Students (STARS), G.V.School Development Programme GVSDP are some of the prominent societal initiatives established by him. Each of these initiatives continues to positively impact the socioeconomic conditions of the beneficiaries. Under STARS, rank holders from rural Government schools in Tamil Nadu are provided with free education, free boarding and lodging. So far, 965 plus students have benefitted from this initiative. In 2011, Dr.G. Viswanathan established the Universal Higher Education Trust (UHET) to help the underprivileged students of Vellore District to pursue higher education by supporting them financially. As many as 8416 underprivileged students have benefitted under UHET so far. In grateful recognition of Dr. G. Viswanathan's remarkable contributions to the field of politics, education and societal development, the Society for Data Science (S4DS) is proud to confer upon him 'The Lifetime Achievement Award'.
