The event consisted of competitions like Singing, Slogan Recitation and Open Quiz which elevated the patriotic spirits of all employees. During the event, senior management and all employees of SECI were present.

About us
Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI) is a CPSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), set up on 20th September 2011 to facilitate the implementation of NSM and achievement of targets set therein. It is the only CPSU dedicated to the solar energy sector. However, through a Government of India decision, the company has recently been converted into a Section-3 company under the Companies Act, 2013. The mandate of the company has also been broadened to cover the entire renewable energy domain. In the present outlook of the RE sector, especially solar energy, SECI has a major role to play in the sector’s development. The company is responsible for implementation of a number of schemes of MNRE, major ones being the VGF schemes for large-scale grid-connected projects under JNNSM, solar park scheme and grid-connected solar rooftop scheme, alongwith a host of other specialized schemes such as defence scheme, canal-top scheme, Indo-Pak border scheme etc. In addition, SECI has ventured into solar project development on turnkey basis for several PSUs. The company also has a power-trading license and is active in this domain through trading of solar power from projects set up under the schemes being implemented by it.

Press Release SECI inks MoU with GERMI to accelerate RE Projects implementation New Delhi, 6th August 2024- Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI), a CPSU under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gujarat Energy Research & Management Institute (GERMI) on 05th August 2024 for accelerating implementation of Renewable Energy (RE) Projects in India and abroad. The MoU is aimed at resource optimization and expediting implementation of RE projects in order to support the Government of India to achieve the target of 500 GW of non-fossil energy by 2030. This strategic alliance will also cater to Research and Development activities, International cooperation for Business Development, identification of land for setting up RE projects and other net zero initiatives. The MoU was signed in the presence of senior officials of SECI and GERMI. Press Release from Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), A Government of India Enterprise. SECI declares its Financial Results of FY 23-24 New Delhi, 2nd August, 2024: Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), one of the leaders in the Renewable Energy (RE) domain, has declared the Financial Results for FY24 on 02nd August 2024. In FY24, SECI has awarded 8440 MW of RE tenders comprising of Solar, Wind and Hybrid power, which brings the cumulative awarded capacity to 65317 MW. There has been an increase in annual trading volume by 22.13% over previous year with 42935 million units of electricity being traded. On standalone basis, the Total Income of the company was ₹ 13,135.80 Cr. as against the previous year figure of ₹ 10,864.43 Cr., registering an increase of 20.91%. SECI has witnessed an increase of 38.14% in Profit After Tax (PAT) by recording ₹ 436.03 Cr. in FY24 as compared to the previous year’s value of ₹ 315.65 Cr. On a consolidated basis, the Profit After Tax (PAT) of the group for FY24 was ₹ 510.92 crore as against the corresponding previous year PAT of ₹ 378.77 crore, registering an increase of 34.89% The Net Worth of the company stood at ₹ 2,811.76 Cr as compared to the figure of ₹ 2,376.31 Cr for the previous year, registering an increase of 18.32%. SECI inked PPAs with JSW Renew Energy Four Limited and JSW Renew Energy Eight Limited for 325 MW and 700 MW respectively. The Power will be supplied to UPPCL for 25 years at a fixed tariff.
