Adopting Sustainable Practices for a cleaner and greener planet 🌍 You see happy and satisfied faces of our colleagues in these pictures as they do their bit by participating in our Green Impact Network - Pune Chapter’s Electronic Waste (E-Waste) Collection drive in the office at Pune. This initiative, aligned to UN SDG 13: Climate Action, aims to responsibly recycle and dispose electronic waste. By diverting e-waste from landfills, we are not only helping reduce environmental pollution, but are also helping in the mitigation of health risks posed by toxic substances present in electronic items. About 45+ colleagues participated and donated 200+ items! A big shout-out to all our dedicated volunteers and participants for making a positive impact and driving sustainable change. 💚 Learn more about Springer Nature Group's Sustainable Development Goals Programme: https://bit.ly/4cL0yTa #Sustainability #Environment #LifeAtSpringerNatureInIndia

We recently visited Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School to share insights at their ‘Corporate Experts Talk Series’. Our informative and interactive Q&A session, led by India Talent Attraction colleagues Christopher Gnanamalai and Daksh Sharma, helped students learn more about Springer Nature. They also addressed queries about developing a career in the fields of technology and publishing. We aim to continue empowering students with the right skills, insights and mindset to thrive in their careers, and be part of progress. 💡 #CareerGrowth #students #BePartOfProgress

📢 The results of our groundbreaking national survey on Research Integrity affirms the need for strengthened Research Integrity Training! The survey was conducted in India by Springer Nature in collaboration with The National Academy of Sciences India, Indian National Young Academy of Sciences and CSIR-National Physical Laboratory. The findings cite widespread backing for compulsory in-person research integrity training across all researcher groups. The survey findings highlight that 87% of researchers found such trainings to be effective, and a majority (62%) believe it should be made mandatory, particularly for postgraduate students and early-career researchers. In a special blog in honour of Pride Month 2024, Sel J. Hwahng, PhD, ScM, Assistant Professor of Women, Gender, Health, and Sexuality at Towson University and Editor of the new book series Global LGBTG Health, addresses the lack of research examining LGBTQ health through global and comparative perspectives. Discrimination in health issues monumentally influences the daily lives and well-being of LGBTQ community members. Promoting LGBTQ equality requires inclusive healthcare policies and practices that recognise and address the disparities the community still faces. https://lnkd.in/dnAU9Aj4

Did you know - People from the LGBTQIA+ community are more likely to have mental health challenges due to discrimination, fear, shame, stigma and social exclusion. Raising awareness and seeking inclusive polices can contribute to a better life for LGBTQIA+ individuals. This #PrideMonth, let's advocate for equitable mental health support for all LGBTQIA+ individuals. #MentalHealth #Pride2024 #PrideInProgress
