🚀 Lohum Signs $30M JV for Battery Recycling Facility 🔋 We are happy to share that our portfolio company, LOHUM , has entered into a joint venture with US-based ReElement Technologies and American Metals LLC to establish the United States' first fully integrated battery recycling and critical material production facility. This partnership will see the creation of a 15.5 GWh facility in Indiana with an initial investment of $30 million, which will also generate 250 green jobs. 🌱 The facility will oversee the complete battery life cycle, from battery cell testing to recycling, mineral refining, and the production of battery-grade materials with a purity exceeding 99.5%. This marks a significant step towards a sustainable future, addressing both the growing demand for battery materials and environmental concerns. 🌍 By reducing capital expenditure and minimising the environmental footprint of battery material separation and purification, the facility is poised to play a pivotal role in building a domestic ecosystem for recycled high-purity lithium in North America. 💡 A huge congratulations to Rajat Verma and the entire Lohum team for this remarkable milestone!
