It's so hard to keep track of time in a city like Mumbai. For the last 6 months, I've been putting immense hours into just working - building my #podcastproduction brand studio cowri. Juggling between 3 different jobs, countless small projects, and so many clients, I struggle with practicing mindfulness and have been a little disconnected from my emotions lately. My mom called me at the end of an extremely hectic day (had a podcast recording, 2 offline meetings, and 3 online meetings scheduled for the entire day). "Congratulations, beta, I'm proud of you." A little confused, I asked, "For what?" She reminded me that it has now been 2 years since I moved to Mumbai. It hit me then, so much has changed. From a then-naive B.A. English student, freshly migrated from a Tier-4 village in Punjab to the financial hub of the country, to now a (little less naive) 21-year-old working professional trying to start a company! Mumbai does make you lose track of yourself, pushes you to work harder, and stretches you thin, coping with the speed of this city. I know I'm not alone. Lakhs of people hustle every day, trying to make it big, forgetting who they are in the first place. To all of you folks, a reminder: don't forget to call your mom, don't forget who you are.

I recently got fired from my job and had the worst week of my life at the very start of 2024. I couldn't tell my parents about it because they wouldn't let me ever work. As soon as I got fired, I applied for more than 50 jobs in one go and was eager to get a call for interviews. I did get calls and follow-up interviews, but none were the right fit for me. Then one fine day, Arnav Dogra called and asked, Do you want a job in my company, studio cowri? "It was an unusual name," but with no hesitation, I said yes and got the job as an SMM. Fast forward a few days, I was visiting the #ChhatrapatiShivajiMaharaj museum with a friend when I came across this picture, which felt like a sign from the universe that everything had happened for good. You may say it was a coincidence, but mei bata rahi hu, "Sab kuch likh hua hai."
