Now, cell phones have touched almost every life on the planet earth. Imagine that even today, if cell phones were that expensive !! The world wouldn’t have grown this much. This means no social media, banking transactions, entertainment, apps, or anything connected to cell phones. So, any innovation that is not affordable to the masses is a waste. ----- 👉 According to the guardian’s Report , only 8% of the world’s population can afford heart surgery. Now, a da Vinci robot is a great innovation, probably life-saving. But what value does it bring to the other 92% of the world’s population when they can’t afford it? 👉 Similarly, the average cost of a heart transplant in India is somewhere between 20 lakh to 1+ crore. So, what population size in India can afford a heart transplant surgery? 👉 The cost of Bariatric surgery in India ranges from 3 lakh to 10 lakh. Again, how many patients can afford it? 👉 Now, imagine the COVID-19 vaccine you took was worth 1 lakh each dose. How many would have taken it? ----- Since we discussed robots, the healthcare robots market size is estimated to reach USD 65.6 billion by 2032. The world has invested much money into healthcare robots and will continue doing it. But in India, not every hospital will add this to their list of features.
