Tata Coffee won the Ernesto Illy International Coffee Award 2023 for Best Indian Coffee and Third Best Coffee in the World. Considered the Oscars of the Coffee World, the Ernesto Illy International Coffee Awards was first launched in 1991 by illycaffè in Brazil as the Prêmio Ernesto Illy de Qualidade Sustentável do Café para Espresso in response to the groundbreaking innovations realized between illycaffè and Brazilian coffee growers. In 2016 this recognition was extended growers from around the world. Since inception the award has come to be known as a driving force behind industry production improvements, and today this award acknowledges the most phenomenal coffee growers in the world who produce the best beans, sustainably. In the words of Andrea Illy , Chairman of illycaffè “Our mission is to delight lovers of goodness and beauty all over the world with the best coffee that nature can provide, enhanced with the best technologies and art...the Ernesto Illy International Coffee Award allows us to stimulate the production of increasingly good and sustainable coffee”. The Illy quality lab in Trieste identified the most exceptional coffee crops harvested in 2022-23 from 9 of the world’s coffee meccas including Brazil, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Nicaragua and Rwanda after 12 months of rigorous testing. The 2023 Edition of the Ernesto Illy International Coffee Awards saw expert jurors bestowing the Best of the Best Coffee honour to 27 finalists from these 9 countries, while a consumer jury of blind tasters selected the Coffee Lover’s Choice Award. The coffees were rated in terms of richness, aromatic complexity, flavor balance, and aroma intensity. Ricky Aiyappa, General Manager - Cluster Operations received the award on behalf of Tata Coffee at the award ceremony hosted at the New York Public Library on 16th November 2023. This achievement is a true testimony to our commitment to producing coffee of the highest quality, in the most sustainable manner possible. Congratulations to all our estates that contributed to this win, and to our most amazing quality team that prepared this blend! #eiica2023 #sustainablecoffee #coffeelovers #qualityassurance #responsiblebusiness #sustainableagriculture #QualityLovesDetails #Coffee #sustainability #nycevents

Tata Coffee won First place at the third edition of the FICCI Sustainable Agriculture Awards for our initiatives in Natural Resource Management and Climate Resilient Agriculture. The award was granted under the ‘Large Corporate’ category and Tata Coffee was conferred the award for significant on-ground interventions in sustainable agriculture development. FICCI’s Sustainable Agriculture Summit provides a national platform that recognizes, endorses and acclaims the stellar work being carried out by organizations, working towards sustainability focused initiatives in the agriculture and allied sector. The award recognizes and showcases best technologies/services with reference to climate resilient smart agriculture, soil/water resources conservation or any innovative intervention promoting agriculture development to adequately tackle adverse impacts of climate change and for sustainable management of natural resources such as soil and water.
