    People love experiments, but not the ones done with their money. Trustworthy, uncomplicated, reliable, strong, secure - these are the qualities that comfort people when it comes to brands that work with money and savings. This was a great premise for us to hold throughout our journey of reimagining the website and brand front for Beyond Life, a financial advisory firm based in Mumbai. Over the two decades of their operations, they’ve established a relationship of trust and goodwill with their clientele. The ask for Openhouse was to retain these values yet exude a sense of modernity & a contemporary perspective through the website. Beyond Life’s logo of a budding sapling 🌿 that denoted growth and potential was not to be renewed. It was a motif that was familiar to customers and didn't seem dated either. So, we chose to pick that as our starting point for the website redesign. In a way, the redesign branched out (pun intended!) from this motif. From here on, we firmly anchored our process in the values we highlighted before - trust, transparency, uncomplicatedness, and security. At no point did we want the website to feel laboured or labyrinthian. Which are also words people sometimes use to describe the world of personal finance. Regulations, abbreviations, numbers and jargon - they often stand in the way of people wanting to begin their financial journey. Therefore, simplifying concepts and outlining clear processes was a priority when it came to content and copy. The Beyond Life team also wanted the website to be able to attract new talent to the organisation. To reflect the culture and relationships between the team, a photo shoot was done for a ‘Team in Focus’ page. Right from the founder/CEO to analysts, every team member was given their due spotlight. And thus, the website aimed to present facts and information in a lucid and easy-to-peruse format. We used the brand colours of grey, white, and green to connote familiarity, transparency and growth and incorporated the logo in an effortless fashion into the scroll mechanism. The key takeaways that we took as a design agency from this project was that sometimes, keeping it simple is really the answer. We’re in the business of effective and efficient communication, and we shouldn’t let anything get in the way of that. Explore the site at: https://www.beyondlife.in/
