But the idea of providing the best kept us going. We used to think big, dream all the impossible things knowing in our hearts that we will make it no matter what. Setting a new place and calling it “office” indeed is a huge investment in itself which our younger selves would’ve never imaged happening But life has different plans.     I did not post on LinkedIn for 6 months and these have been the most amazing 6 months of my life. Let me tell you how Here are some things I did and learned within these 6 months: 1. I worked with a renowned personal branding agency The Growth Square to build a strong personal brand for several 6-7 figure clients. 2. Spoke to the most amazing founders, and realised how much hard work and resilience is needed to transform an idea from scratch to reality. 3. Wrote more than 500 posts for clients and achieved results like → 3.7 lakh impressions and 3000 likes on a single post. 🚀 4. Went through the challenging experience of supporting a sick family member. Reminded me that family comes before anything else. It taught me the importance of prioritizing loved ones, even when work is demanding. Replaced the word ‘struggle’ with ‘hard work’ in my vocabulary. Trust me, understanding this difference is very important for young people building their dreams today. 6. Learned how effective communication is the key to 95% of the problems in both your professional and personal life. However, while managing all these responsibilities, my community on LinkedIn was neglected.     I was afraid to accept all this because I feared judgments. But, not anymore! So, here’s what happened: → June 2023: I started working at The Growth Square → Nov 2023: I lost my job because of my personal life → Jan 2024: No income source & pitching to agencies → Feb 2024: Joined Revamp Tribe as a full-time writer → March 2024: Left the job within a month Honestly, till now I never talked about it because: I thought people would judge me for everything. Dealing with all this was a roller coaster for me. But, let me tell you the positive side of it: 1) Working with Vedika and Unnati for 6 months was no less than a full-proof course on agency building and processes. (It's helping me build my own business) 2) Working with Yogesh for a month helped me discover so much that my writing improved. (I am able to provide better content to my clients) 3) Losing my first job & leaving the other one in 1 month wasn’t the best thing but it helped me figure out that my actual happiness is in building my own business. (Have a clarity of where I want to see myself in the next 5-7 years) Result: As of April 2024: ✅ I am working with some of the best clients ✅ Dealing with work and personal life better ✅ Have a clear idea of what I want to do I don’t have a perfect CTA for this post but I want to thank both the co-founders of Growth Square for teaching me processes so well.     Here’s how I landed a 6-figure personal branding agency as a client (with just ONE LinkedIn post!) Back in December, I came to know that Vedika Bhaia and Unnati Bagga are building The Growth Square’s official website. So, I immediately sat down to work on a mock-up for their website. It took me 3 days to design a tailor-made website wireframe from scratch on Figma. I also went the extra mile to create both the web and mobile versions. I then posted it on LinkedIn and tagged both Vedika and Unnati. Within a few hours, I got a comment from Vedika and we started discussing the details of the project soon after connecting. It took us a couple of weeks to finalise the terms of our agreement and other details. So, the website development started around mid-January and we closed the final version towards the end of February. (Fun fact: This website generated 5 leads even before it was finished!) It was indeed a pleasure working with Vedika and Unnati. It’s always great to work with people who are sure of what they want from a project. So, here is my biggest lesson from this experience- “LinkedIn is a great platform to get noticed if you put in the effort “ I had no chance of connecting with someone as high up the ranks as Vedika and Unnati- ❌ I had no followers on LinkedIn. ❌ I had no one to refer my name to them. ❌ I had no swanky testimonials under my belt. But because I had the skills and I was willing to go the extra mile of creating a design for free… I got my chance on LinkedIn So, make the most of this platform by going the extra mile and you can reach your dream clients too.
