Ever seen a YouTube video title that made you HAVE to click it? We recently found an AWESOME video by YouTuber Zoe Bee (who had 39,000 subscribers at the time) that went SUPER viral, and we wanted to share the secret ingredient behind its success. The key? Thinking outside the box! Her title: "Grading is a Scam (And Motivation is a Myth) I A Professor Explains" Intriguing, right? Here's why it worked and went viral: Cool topic: When someone challenges the way things are usually done, it makes us WANT to know more. Bold words: Using words like "scam" and "myth" grab attention (but remember to explain what you mean in the video!). Being an expert: Saying "Professor explains" makes the claim sound more believable. Like a teacher who knows a lot! Eye-catching thumbnail: The red "F" is bright and reinforces the video title. Remember, the title and thumbnail are your first impression. Make them really good and generate curiosity of the viewer! This isn't just about tricks, though. Zoe's video is actually good, with examples you can understand and even science to back it up! The key takeaway? Challenge conventional thinking in a way that's both interesting and credible, and you'll grab your audience's attention. Creators and businesses, what are some creative ways you've challenged the status quo on YouTube? Let's chat in the comments! P.S. We help YouTubers like you grow naturally. Obsessing over view counts isn't strategy. It's a distraction. Sharing screenshots of isolated view numbers offers a limited glimpse into success, and doesn't translate into actual strategic planning. True strategy is about making informed decisions. It's about identifying the best course of action, even when faced with unfavourable options. A skilled strategist will not tell you which is better: a bad option or a terrible option. Instead, he/she will analyze your unique situation, taking into account your strengths and limitations, and help you weigh the potential risks and rewards of each choice. This empowers you to make informed decisions that align with your long-term goals, even when the path forward isn't clear. Focus on cultivating strategic thinking, not chasing fleeting view numbers. This will ultimately lead to greater success and sustainable growth on your YouTube journey. #youtubestrategy #youtube #youtubeviews

Algorithm complexity: it's not just about watch time, it's about captivating viewers. The Key to Success? Remarkability! YouTube viewers skipping sections? Here's a simple fix. Spike in your retention graph at chapter breaks? People are skipping ahead! Why? Because they get the gist too quickly and miss the juicy details. Flip the script: 1. Hook them: Start with relatable context or a captivating metaphor. Make them lean in. 2. Build anticipation: Explain, elaborate, weave a story. 3. Drop the mic: Deliver the key point - the payoff for their attention. Bonus tip: Don't just "explain it." Show it, illustrate it, bring it to life! We help creators and businesses hook viewers, hold their attention, and grow their videos and channels. Let's be real, folks. YouTube's a goldmine of creativity, but it's also a battlefield for attention. Here's the harsh truth: 1. Attention is a zero-sum game: Views are like currency, and every second spent on one video is a second lost for another. 2. The power law reigns supreme: A tiny fraction of videos grab the lion's share of views. 3. The algorithm's a mystery: YouTube AI is collecting billions of data points, trying to predict what the viewer will watch next. 4. Supply is infinite, attention is finite: You're competing with millions for eyeballs, and it's easy to get lost in the noise. But wait! Don't despair. Here's the antidote: 1. Catch Attention 2. Hold Attention 3. Convert Attention Remember, it's not just about views, it's about building influence. By understanding the game and playing it smart, you can carve your niche in this vast digital ocean. So, fellow YouTubers, let's stop sugarcoating the realities and start strategizing. Who's ready to conquer the attention battlefield? P.S. Want to dive deeper into YouTube growth strategies? We want to finish off with the 5th & final Strategy of Mr Beast. Mr Beast has an unwavering commitment towards his YouTube content. In fact all his earnings from YouTube are reinvested back into the video creation process. In some cases the return is even negative. The million dollar question is why would he do that? Well, Mr Beast is super-obsessed about making better videos. He is not willing to compromise on quality come what may. In fact some of his videos that are absolutely gold are not on YouTube. The reason is simple: Mr Beast doesn't feel the Title & Thumbnail as a pair are good enough to create curiosity and win clicks. Look at what Mr Beast Himself has to say about this in his interview with Collin & Samir in the YouTube Short below. And with that we have come to the end of the 5 part strategy series of Mr Beast. In the last post, you got to know How Mr Beast uses his Masterful Storytelling and content creation strategy to win viewer retention. Okay so onto the 4th strategy Mr Beast is a Master in creating Video Categories. Breaking your content into categories helps your audience know exactly what they’re going to get with a particular type of video. And they get their payoff when you deliver. Then you can wash, rinse and repeat for each type of video. Mr Beast has high standards for himself when he creates new content. If it doesn’t fit in any one of his video categories he won’t put it on his channel. Some of His categories include extreme challenges, Last to leave This Versus That Challenge videos World's Largest That’s why he has such a low bounce rate on his videos. So in the last post you understood, How Mr Beast gets his audience to click on the video. But how does he get them to stay on the video for longer durations? That Brings us to Strategy Number #3 Mr Beast is a great storyteller. He knows the art of hooking his audience. Take for example one of his videos titled: I Opened A Free Car Dealership! And this is the first thing he says in the video: I Bought Every Single Car At A Car Dealership The audience already knows exactly what the video is going to be about: Mr Beast bought some cars and he is going to give them away! Simple concept yet brilliant execution. Mr Beast then shows himself buying the cars which must have taken a while in real life but only 5 seconds of video time. In the opening segment, camera angles switch multiple times There’s a quick time lapse And there’s humour including reactions. Then Mr Beast Walks through the lot to take inventory of his newly purchased cars And changes the pricing to absurdly low numbers. The viewer is hooked. This all happens in the first 45 seconds. Mr Beast is an absolute Genius at re-engagement strategies He uses humour and emotional relief, camera work and editing techniques to retain his audience. He’s listed the first car to sell for $3, but when the buyer sits down to sign the paperwork, he says: We ran a 33% off sale, so it's now $2   All this while he’s using zoom work, fast paced editing, sound effects & text on the screen to continuously re-engage. Now you might think, This video has worked because of sensationalism:   Mr Beast buys 12 cars and documents his silly antics to give them all away. But something happens outside the sensation We see the sheer joy and gratitude of people who receive the free cars. We see Mr Beast feeling really happy about helping people. Its genuine and the viewers get emotionally connected By the end of the video you’ve smiled, laughed and maybe even cried. So when Mr Beast asks you to buy his merchandize to continue spreading good in the world. You really want to click. Whether you click or watch Mr Beast’s next video. Either way He Got you!   His Masterful Storytelling and content creation strategy worked like a charm. Stay tuned for the next post where we'll discuss strategy number 4 of Mr Beast. In the previous post, you understood how Mr Beast is a master at combining all the different viral idea themes and making it into one video. Now of course, it’s not as easy as it sounds Working on video ideas that have the potential to go viral and actually going viral are 2 different things! How will your video go viral if nobody clicks on it? That brings us to Strategy Number #2 Mr. Beast is A Master At Creating Engaging Titles & Thumbnails that ultimately gets the viewer to click. He uses Psychological triggers on his titles and thumbnails to win millions of clicks. He strategically uses a change in perspective to amplify your curiosity. Take for example the Title & Thumbnail he used in on of his videos: I Ate the World’s largest Slice of Pizza The giant slice of pizza in the Thumbnail made us really curious to know How long did it take to eat that slice? And obviously it is working, getting Tons and Tons of views. The Title & Thumbnails of Mr Beast generate interest as well as curiosity. And this often creates disbelief in the viewer. For example this thumbnail as shown in the below image: I Spent 50 Hours Buried Alive! This title and thumbnail creates a Psychological trigger inside you. Is it even possible? This disbelief makes you curious and you want to watch the video. Mr. Beast is a Master at peaking his audience’s curiosity by using attention grabbing title and thumbnails The result in this case is a mind boggling 313 million views. So That’s How Mr. Beast gets his audience to click on the video. Stay tuned for the next post where we'll discuss strategy number 3 of Mr Beast.
