It's an exceedingly perilous game.

The secular (interim) government of Bangladesh, under the leadership of Nobel laureate economist Muhammad Yunus, convened a meeting today, Monday, August 12, with Hindu students and youth to address the alleged attacks on religious minorities. The discussion, focused on the protection of the Hindu community, underscored the government's unwavering commitment to safeguarding the rights of minority groups. However, it is recommended that the interim government appoint both the Home Minister and Defence Minister from the Hindu community as part of broader efforts to ensure the protection of religious minorities. Furthermore, the secular government must adhere to an eight-point "demand charter," which includes establishing a fast-track tribunal for the expedited trial of cases involving attacks on minorities, creating a Ministry of Minority Affairs, enacting a Minority Protection Law, upgrading the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust to a foundation, and modernizing the Pali Education Board.

The Indian state, led by a feudal-bourgeoisie/capitalist ruling class, exhibits a dual character. On one hand, the right-wing, anti-communist Modi government aligns with the anti-imperialist BRICS platform, which is led by communist China. On the other hand, the same government actively participates in the QUAD, an American-led alliance consisting of the USA, Australia, Japan, and India, which is decidedly anti-communist and imperialist in nature. This contradictory foreign policy under the Modi regime has failed to address the contemporary global challenges and issues effectively. Moreover, under Modi's leadership, India's relations with its neighbouring countries—such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Pakistan, Nepal, and Myanmar—have weakened, as these nations have moved closer to China. In contrast, China's leadership has been astute, successfully managing its relationships not only with neighbouring countries but also across the globe, including in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Europe, and Australia.

We are deeply honoured to welcome the esteemed economist and Nobel laureate, Professor Muhammad Yunus, internationally acclaimed for his pioneering work with rural communities. Having recently assumed the role of Prime Minister, he has committed to leading the "interim government" in a dedicated effort to restore "secularism" and "democracy", thereby safeguarding the rights and security of all Bangladeshi citizens, including those belonging to religious minority groups.

It is imperative that Arab nations collectively unite to combat the imperialist forces of the USA, Israel, Britain, and France, and to compel the withdrawal of the thousands of American military personnel from Middle Eastern lands. This unified action is essential to restore sustainable peace and to achieve the complete freedom of the Arab peoples, including the establishment of a sovereign, independent Palestine. Furthermore, it is crucial for Russia, Pakistan, and Turkey to deploy their nuclear weapons to Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran to ensure their protection. Egypt must also support the struggle against Israel.

Thousands of American military personnel have been overseeing resources in the Middle East since the Second World War. The anti-American and anti-Israel forces are facing significant challenges due to the coalition partners of America and Israel, which include Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, and Kuwait.

The Middle East, Eastern Europe, the South China Sea, and East Asia are the most volatile regions for potential nuclear escalations, involving Russia and its allies—Iran, North Korea, and China—against the USA-led Western military alliances, notably NATO. A significant challenge lies in devising strategies to withdraw thousands of American military personnel from Asian territories and dismantle American military bases in the Middle East, East Asia, and Eastern Europe, which are in close proximity to Russia, China, North Korea and Iran.

The situation is indeed alarming. India's public debt has surged to $2.5 trillion, a staggering figure when compared to the nation's GDP of $3.3 trillion. In a concerning move, the Modi government, now in its third term, has recently secured an additional $1.6 trillion loan from the International Monetary Fund. This development places India's total debt well above 100% of its GDP, raising significant economic and fiscal concerns.

It is an opportune moment for the Russian army to intervene in Palestine to safeguard the Palestinian people and preserve their sovereignty, akin to the way they intervened in Syria to support the Assad government.
