Job Description:
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and specifications, including software developers, project managers, and business analysts.
2. Design and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
3. Execute test plans and test cases to identify software defects, ensuring the
quality and integrity of our software applications.
4. Improve and enhance the manual testing process, methodologies, and strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Identify, report, and track software defects, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up for resolution.
6. Perform regression testing to ensure that previously developed and tested
software modules still function correctly in new software releases.
7. Work closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve software defects, providing clear and detailed information for reproducing issues.
8. Collaborate with the automation testing team to identify opportunities for test
automation and support in the creation of automated test scripts.
9. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to manual testing and quality assurance.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience working as a QA Test Engineer in manual testing for software applications.
3. Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
4. Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing comprehensive test plans and test cases.
5. Proficiency with bug tracking tools, such as JIRA or Bugzilla, and test
management tools.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a sharp attention to
detail.
7. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a
team.
8. Experience with automation testing and tools (optional, but a plus).
9. Knowledge of programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C++, is desirable (optional, but a plus).
10. Certification in software testing, such as ISTQB, is a plus.
