About us

Established under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, Telecom Sector Skill Council is an industry-led apex body, a not-for-profit organization, committed to developing world-class skilled manpower for the telecom industry. The organization is a joint collaboration by the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), India Cellular & Electronics Association (ICEA) and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology and Department of Telecommunications (MeitY). TSSC has certified over 6.5 lac people already work and has approximate 500 training partners with 1000+ training centres across the country and continues to strive forward with a commitment.

About Mr. Vishal Mathur: As Global Head of Engagement at Telecom Infra Project (TIP), Vishal is responsible for facilitating TIP community trials and the commercial scaling of TIP-incubated solutions globally, with the primary objective of unlocking business models that accelerate the deployment of telecom innovation where it's needed. TIP's core value proposition is to help the telecoms industry transform by TIP certifying and enabling the deployment of Cloud native, Al-driven, Open Network solutions. Industry transformation results in increased competition in the supply landscape, economic development in markets and skills & talent development across the sector Prior to joining TIP, Vishal worked for over 26 years across consulting and telecoms in strategy, business development and P&L positions, at Accenture, A.T. Kearney, Telefonica, the GSMA and now TIP. His most notable achievements include the setup of Accenture's 1st offshore development centre in India; at the GSMA, where he lead a global programme, which facilitated Industry & Government collaboration within 10 emerging markets to bridge the digital divide for underserved communities; and within TIP, putting the foundations for scaling of OpenRAN across UK, US, India, South East Asia and Japan.
