Ultra International Limited hosted a successful industry visit and workshop today, focusing on fragrance formulation specifically for women from Manipur. As part of a skill training programme jointly conducted by Hindu College, University of Delhi, Ultra International Limited, CSIR-CIMAP Lucknow, and the Manipur State Government under the mentorship of Hon’ble Justice Gita Mittal Committee. The workshop aimed to provide participants with practical expertise in fragrance creation. Mr. Sant Sanganeria, Managing Director, Ms. Bhuvana Nageshwaran, Creative Director-F&F, Mr. Prasenjit Mazumdar, Director-Marketing and other industry professionals from the company led sessions covering essential aspects of fragrance formulation, including blending techniques, ingredient selection, and stringent quality standards. Ms Bhuvana Nageshwaran, Co-Chair, FICCI Task Force on Fragrances and Director of Ultra International Limited, Dr. Prabodh Kumar Trivedi, Director of CSIR-CIMAP Lucknow, Mr Sandeep Srivastava, Honorary Advisor to the International Fragrance Association, Mr Alok Kalra, Senior Scientist and Consultant at CSIR-CIMAP, Mr Rajesh Verma, Principal Scientist at CSIR-CIMAP, along with other senior officials from FICCI and CSIR-CIMAP, participated in the inauguration of a 2-day program titled 'Journey to Sustainable Jasmine Cultivation and Processing: Farmers, Scientists, and Processors Awareness Meet' and Capacity Building in Mettupalayam, Tamil Nadu. The FICCI Task Force organized the fragrance program in collaboration with CSIR-CIMAP, with the support of Ultra International Limited and the International Fragrance Association (IFRA). On day 1 of the program, over 150 attendees participated, including more than 120 farmers engaged in jasmine cultivation and industry leaders from ENCEE Aromatics Private Limited, Jasmine Concrete Exports Private Limited, Natural & Essential Oils Private Limited, Nestate Flora, and Synthite Industries Private Ltd, among others. Ms Bhuvana Nageshwaran, Co-Chair, FICCI Task Force on Fragrances and Director of Ultra International Limited, Dr Prabodh Kumar Trivedi, Director of CSIR-CIMAP Lucknow, Mr Sandeep Srivastava, Honorary Advisor to the International Fragrance Association, along with other senior officials from FICCI and CSIR-CIMAP, visited the jasmine fields in the Mettupalayam region of Tamil Nadu and interacted with local farmers. On Day 2 in Mettupalayam, Tamil Nadu, a senior team from Ultra International Limited, CSIR-CIMAP, FICCI, and IFRA visited the processing unit of ENCEE Aromatics Private Limited, followed by an industry meet that was well-attended by key stakeholders in the industry. Various industry issues were discussed, and IFRA highlighted the importance of its Green Chemistry Compass Tools for the industry, which can help map their sustainability quotient. The program was an excellent initiative that brought farmers, research scientists, and industry professionals together on one platform, helping to explore ways to improve and support the industry in the best possible way.
